Somebody's getting married!

Becca traveled from New York to Port St Lucie for Mets Spring Training with The 7 Line, just like she did for seasons prior. Tom traveled from Tampa, this time being the first time he stayed the weekend. He and his sister went to Duffy's Friday for dinner; they were in the bar, and ended up next to Becca's friends, while Becca was in the arcade. The next morning, Babysitter Becky was rallying the troops to hydrate and walk to the stadium, when her buddy told her they found a great girl for another buddy - but her brother was there. Becca was on the case - wingman and distraction. Everyone arrives at the stadium, including Tom. He wanted to approach Becca - none the wiser to her assignment - but she was in constant conversation with EVERYONE but Tom. Gates open, everyone goes in, and Becca and Tom are finally introduced by her friends. She disappears again making her rounds. Tom finally caught up with her, and took advantage of noticing her Barstool gear to break the ice. By the end of the game (and several rum buckets), Becca invited them to the group's hotel for the traditional pool party, then dinner at Duffy's. The next time Tom sees Becca, she is jumping in the pool fully clothed. Ya know, the ush. Pool party continues, the sun goes down, Tom gets up his nerve... he kisses Becca next to the pool. Woohoo! The whole crew changes, returns to Duffy's - and he was a total gentleman, including buying her dinner. They end the night with Becca putting her number in his phone and a promise to meet up next time he is up seeing family in Jersey or a game. The next day, Becca left for a 7 day cruise. As she boarded, a text from Tom bid her adieu. When she finally returned next Sunday, she landed back in New York to a text from Tom: "Becca is my who's back of the week" (Barstool again). They texted every day since....

Among other similar interests like the Mets, Armageddon, Jets, college football, Tombstone, and hating the Rangers, Becca and Tom found they both watched wrestling. Not long after they met, and before they saw each other again, Toys 'R' Us was closing. Becca found the OG Macho Man robe, so she texted Tom to see if she should get it. His response, "yes, I'll wear it at our wedding." Oh, ok. They still didn't see each other again for several weeks, but it was pretty clear it was real. After that one of them was traveling nearly every other weekend, and daily video calls when they couldn't be together for bi-weekly stretches. That Thanksgiving, Becca met Jackson. It was love at first sight for her. After months of long distance, Becca knew the only way they could be together fo'real was to move to Florida with Tom and Jackson. A house was found quickly, and they moved into their new home as a family in April 2019. It wasn't easy. There was a lot of adjustment, a new evil stepmother on the scene, and a lot of homesickness for Becca. But they powered through as a family. Fast forward to February 22, 2020. Back to PSL Tom and Becca go with the crew. After they get in, Tom asked by which pillarr they met - and of COURSE they don't agree on the exact spot (until Becca pulled out pictures). Tom asked their friend Drea to take some pictures of them, and when it seems like they are done, he says "one more." Becca thinks he is doing his usual kissing picture - that he did all the time to annoy Becca - so she turns around to put down her rum bucket. As she spins around Toms is on one knee. When he finally asks her to marry him, she responds the only way she knows how - "ooohh yeeaaaa." They had high hopes for a wedding the next summer, but 3 weeks later the world shut down. After 20+ months of uncertainty, they are finally able to plan the party of a lifetime. We can't wait to celebrate our tails off with all of you!
