In Snowmass, Colorado, at the end of July, you can look forward to lovely warm, sunny days and refreshing cool evenings! The average high temperature typically falls in the 70s and 80s, making it perfect for outdoor activities. As the sun sets, the temperatures dip into the 50s.

You don’t need a car to get around Snowmass Village—how great is that? Enjoy the convenience of free and frequent public transportation, like the Snowmass Village Shuttle and RFTA buses. They’ll easily take you to all the village hotspots and even to Aspen. So sit back, relax, and let someone else do the driving!


Maroon Bells

Maroon Lake is nestled in a natural amphitheater at the base of the towering 14,000-foot Maroon Bells. There is a 1.7-mile nature loop that encircles the lake. Another popular hike is the 1.8-mile trail to Crater Lake, which totals 3.6 miles round trip. Just a heads up—reservations are required if you want to drive or take a shuttle to Maroon Bells, and many folks find that taking the bus is the easiest option. Just be sure to book your reservations early, as spots tend to fill up quickly.
