Majestic Colonial Punta Cana

*DO NOT CALL THE RESORT unless you have an international phone plan- it was a pretty hefty charge when we made a call to them recently. If you have any questions, feel free to text or call Lanni (717-798-7047) and she can get the information you need. Guests will stay at Majestic Colonial Punta Cana. Our coordinator suggested reserving rooms as soon as possible because the resort gets booked up. When we've looked, the actual Majestic Colonial website seemed to have the best prices but websites like Booking.com and Expedia offer varying discounts (40%, 45% off) which could be a better deal, depending on the day you book. On Expedia we've found that if you book your flight AND hotel booking at the same time, and pay at the time of booking, you get a discount (discount of about $400 off for 2 people). The Majestic website's cancelation policy seems to change (sometimes a travel voucher offered if you cancel 31 or more days prior to your reservation and sometimes free cancelation up to a certain date) but Expedia's website says it offers a full refund if you cancel at least 48 hours prior to your reservation. To enter the Dominican Republic, you'll need to apply for the eTicket at least 72 hours prior to arrival. It's a free application that you'll need in order to pass through customs. View website for eTicket below:

Punta Cana International Airport

You'll fly into Punta Cana International Airport, which is about 16 miles from the resort.

Travel Note

Private Transfer from Majestic Resorts

The resort website offers a "private transfer" from the airport to the resort for $40 ($80 round trip). We did the "private transfer" when we visited and we easily found our van outside of the airport and they were timely picking us up at the time we indicated from the lobby on the way back. On websites like Amstar, you can reserve a "shuttle" from the airport to your resort (offered 11am to 3:30 pm) for a total of $54 (round trip). View Private Transfer from Majestic Resorts below:
