When do I need to RSVP by?

What should I wear?
Answer
The dress code is black-tie optional. Please keep in mind that the venue is outdoors, so bring a coat for the evening and choose your footwear accordingly (wedges or think heels over stilettos).

Where should I stay?

We recommend using our link on the travel page to book your hotel at Springhill Suites Marriott Truckee. Or if you prefer to camp, we recommend Upper Little Truckee Campground.

How do I get there?
Answer
We highly recommend using our shuttles. They will pick up from Springhill Suites Marriott in Truckee. They will pick up from Upper Little Truckee Campground along the way to venue as well. Otherwise, you may drive, but there is limited parking. Please note: there is no reception as you get closer to the venue along highway 89. So Google directions prior to leaving. Directions: From Truckee, go about 14 miles north on 89 and turn left onto Bear Valley Rd. Follow the sign for “Jackson Meadows, Weber Lake, Independence Lake.” Turn left onto Jackson Meadows Road. Go 2 miles and the driveway will be on your left. Dancing Pines sign at front gate.

Is there parking at the venue?

There is limited parking available at the venue. The venue is a 30 minute drive from Springhill Suites in Truckee. If you are planning on drinking, please use the shuttles, as overnight parking is not allowed.

Can I Uber to/from the venue?
Answer
There are limited Ubers/Lyfts in the Truckee area. However, there will not be service at the venue and therefore, ordering a ride back will not be possible. We encourage the use of the shuttles.

Are children allowed?

Although we love little ones, this is an adult-only affair.

Can I camp nearby?
Answer
Yes, there are plenty of campgrounds near the venue. We recommend Upper Little Truckee Campground. We will have shuttles picking up and dropping off there as well.

Will the wedding be outdoors?
Answer
Yes, the wedding and reception will be entirely outdoors.

What is the weather like in the area?
Answer
Truckee summers are typically 85 degrees during the day and 50 degrees at night. It may be hot during the day and a little chilly at night.

Will there be cell reception at the venue?
Answer
Unfortunately, there is no service at the venue. However, there is access to wifi in case of emergency.

Is smoking allowed?

THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO SMOKING OF ANY KIND ALLOWED!!!

Will there be an after party?
Answer
YES! We will keep the party going in downtown at RMU. Shuttles will pick up from the hotel and bring us to the bars around 11ish.
