ACTIVITIES

Hood River is a historic place in a unique environment. Hundreds of years ago it was a thriving fishing village for generations of Native Chinook people. Passing Hood River in 1805, Lewis, Clark, Sacagawea and the Corps of Discovery made the first overland journey to the Pacific Ocean for the United States. In the 1840s and 1850s Hood River was a stop along the famous Oregon Trail.
Hood River town is tucked between the mighty Colombia River and Hood River. It is surrounded by fertile farmland with endless fruit orchards and vineyards. From some vantage points you can see sweeping views of Mt Hood in Oregon and Mt Adams in Washington.
