Places to Go
Messiah University
Messiah University has a gorgeous campus. Our favorite place to be on campus is on the bank beside the Yellow Breeches, the creek that runs through Messiah's grounds, or on the swinging bridge that crosses over the Breeches.
Simpson Library
We love going here to spend a quiet afternoon. The third floor is our favorite, but the window seats on the first floor are also very enjoyable.
The Green Door
This is the location of the Central PA Swing Dance Club! They host beginner lessons most Saturdays from 7:30-8:30 pm, and after that the dance floor is open from 8:30-11:00 pm.
Winding Hill Park South
We love playing pickleball together at this park! There is also a beautiful walking trail and a very nice playground here.
Chili's Grill & Bar
We have gone on so many dates to this restaurant! We especially love their bacon chicken ranch quesadillas, their grilled fajitas, and their chicken crispers.
Aura Modern Mediterranean
This is our favorite Mediterranean restaurant. It is a little pricier, but absolutely delicious!
Reservoir Park
This park has a life size Chutes and Ladders playground! It's such a fun and unique experience. This park is also one of the largest and oldest parks in Harrisburg, so feel free to explore.
Sight & Sound Theatres
This one is a little farther away, but still close enough to be worth a visit! We have been there twice together, once to celebrate our one-year anniversary.
