Answer

For some easy but beautiful hiking near Breckenridge check out Sawmill Reservoir hike, Indiana Gulch Trail or Cucumber Gulch Trail on https://www.alltrails.com/. To see the famous troll you can hike the 1.0 mile on the Trollstigen, Southside and Illinois Creek Low Trail.

What will the weather be like in October in the mountains?

During the day and the 4pm ceremony it should be nice and sunny (very little chance of rain but please come prepared). At night it can definitely get chilly so make sure you have jackets or sweaters for later in the evenings. Layer layer layer!

What else do i need to think about for my trip?

DRINK WATER. Altitude is no joke, drink as much water as you can and then drink another bottle!

Yes Breckenridge has a pretty healthy Uber and Lyft business so no need to drink and drive!
