This love story begins in 2017 when all was well in the world. Cameron and TJ met in a job interview; Cameron’s charming presence and TJ’s sweaty palms! It was during this initial meeting that Cameron took TJ out for coffee, talked to her mom on the phone, and offered her a job on the spot. For those of you who know Cameron, you know he doesn't waste any time! No need to worry Mom & Dad, Uncles & Aunties - no HR boundaries were violated in the making of this love story. The relationship at this point was strictly business, coffee fueled strategy sessions, nerve racking ride alongs, late night cake pops, and the constant crushing of strategic KPI goals. Just ask our Sachdev Sista, Richa; it was quite an epic ride! When Cameron left San Jose to pursue a corporate role, TJ made it a point to stay in touch with phone calls on holidays, presents on birthdays, and of course, quick pleas for help to get the answers on what to do when she was in a bind at work. During the onset of the pandemic in 2020, both healthcare professionals started talking about leaving the company they were working for. *This is the part in the story where Cameron likes to say "I couldn't get rid of her, she just kept following me", but what actually happened was pure destiny. As TJ decided to pack up her entire life in CA, Cameron was also entertaining a few job offers, and they both ended up relocating to good 'ol Austin, TX! What started out as innocent adventures and excursions exploring Austin together turned into a relationship filled with love, laughter, and MANY opportunities to come. On 08/12/20, after a fun-filled meal of sushi and laughs, Cameron asked TJ to be his girlfriend, his “only” girlfriend, and secured the infamous role of her boyfriend. The Snaps, Crackles, and Pops continued as their love for each other (and food) grew stronger. TJ eventually found herself without a roommate (as Cameron predicted) and soon, with the permission of Mama and Papa Sachdev, she moved into Cameron's house, which he had actually picked with her in mind. Well, two years pass for TJ, a lifetime for Cameron, and as he strives to throw her way off the scent of any soon-to-arrive proposal… On 08/12/22, on a private sail boat in the middle of the Galveston Bay, Cameron asked TJ to be his fiancé and she, of course, surprised to wordless tears, said, "Yes"! From employee to buddy… to girlfriend… to partner for life on 08/12/23, Tejpreet Sachdev shall become Tejpreet Bolish and The Happily Ever After, wild rumpus shall begin!
