All food served will be vegan and free of meat, fish, dairy, eggs and honey. Many items will also be gluten free. The wedding cake will be vegan and gluten free. All food will be organic.
The cocktail reception will have an open bar and guests can order any drinks that are $20 and under. We will have our own private bar on the patio. You will only need to pay for drinks over $20 or if you want to order after the open bar has ended. Please feel free to tip the bartender.
There will be valet parking for a small cost as well as limited metered street parking.
The hotel that we selected is a 1 minute walk from the reception venue.
Food at the reception will be served as passed bites. There will also be a guacamole, chips, and salsa bar.
The reception will be cocktail style with standing room and some lounge seating. There will not be assigned seating. Feel free to move around and mingle.
Vegan photographer Jenny Rolapp has been hired to cover all wedding events (engagement photos, micro ceremony, and cocktail reception). She will be present (with a partner photographer) taking photos for the duration of the cocktail reception.
We will have a very small micro wedding ceremony with our families. It will be livestreamed for those unable to attend. We look forward to celebrating with all of our loved ones at the cocktail reception.
The cocktail reception will be outdoors on the Gracias Madre patio. There will be shade. We expect it to be warm, since it is in May. However, there are heaters, if it does get chilly.
We suggest dressing as you would for a cocktail party.
Click on the registry tab of this site if you would like to purchase a gift, contribute to the honeymoon spending fund, or make a donation to Farm Sanctuary on our behalf. Please make sure any gifts are vegan and cruelty free. However, what we want most is to celebrate with you all.
Our Unitarian Universalist minister, long time friend, (and fellow vegan) Tera Landers will officiate the wedding.
