Maid of Honor
Tiffany is one of my oldest, dearest friends! We met on swim team when we were 13 and 14. I admired how perfectly straight her hair was (how 2013 is that?). Not many people have seen me at my worst like Tiffany has. She has stuck with me through it all, and even though we don't get to see each other super often, we have a bond that is so strong and will last a lifetime! PS - I tried to set Tiffany and Drish up when I first met him... at least it makes for a funny story.
Best Man
Didier, a.k.a. A, (yes, just like the letter) and I met my freshman year at Liberty. Didier and I bonded over our love for New Music Fridays, the Dining Hall (the "Rot"), worship, music production, and guitars. We're an odd pairing in the sense that we are quite different as individuals, but when we're together, we are an unstoppable force of craziness. I've had the privilege of walking with him through some of the toughest times of his life and he has always been there for me when I needed him the most. I’ve often said that Didier is the only other person who deeply understands music like I do. But, the truth is that Didier is one of the few people that deeply understands me and that's why he's a friend for the long run.
Bridesmaid
Abby and I are like blonde and brunette Barbie, as I like to say! Abby introduced herself to me in 2018 because she saw that we had the same birthday! We became good friends and went on an amazing spring break trip together in March of 2020, but we really became close when she joined me grad program at Liberty. We complain about professors, watch psychological thrillers, and quote Spongebob LITERALLY all the time. Abby is definitely my soul sister!
Groomsman
Marcus Mercer was just a guy who lived in the same dorm at me in the room at the end of the hallway. This was, of course, before he started taking naps in my roommates bed, making 1 A.M. Sheetz runs with me, and eating Hershey's chocolate pies with me at midnight in my room. Most of my fondest memories in college (and beyond) feature Marcus and I wouldn't trade that for anything. Marcus is one of the most thoughtful people ever and once he becomes you friend, there's little that he wouldn't so for you.
Bridesmaid
Mikayla Emens... one of the biggest encouragements in my life! We got to know each other because we go to the same church and she started dating one of my best friends, Didier. Right off the bat, I told Mikayla that I love her for her, and that her relationship with A (Didier) doesn't affect our friendship. Since then, we have become very close friends. Mikayla is one of the safest people I know, and I love both talking and listening to her. She pushes me in my walk with the Lord and has taught her a lot about life and trials. Mikayla is a friend for life.
Groomsman
When Simeon and I were younger, I would always look forward to seeing him when his family visited us in India. We didn't always get along too well because Simeon was always too loud and brash for my liking (in my defence, he was rather mischievous as a child)! But, that changed with time and we started to understand each other better. In Indian families, a cousin isn't just a cousin. In fact, the word "cousin" is essentially synonymous with "sibling". Simeon and I are a perfect example of this. He's my brother who taught me how to throw a football. He's my friend who would go completely out of his way for me just to make life easier.
Bridesmaid
Skylar and I met my junior year of college. We were on the same hall and leadership team. Right from the moment I met Skylar, I absolutely loved everything about her, from her humor and intentionality to her sass! She is one of the truest, most genuine people I know, and she is loyal to her core. When I have been really down and in a dark place, Skylar has been there for me exactly how I needed her to be. I'm so thankful for her friendship and how she has impacted my life.
Groomsman
When I started writing this description, I realised just how similar Josiah and I are. Yes, Josiah grew up in the countryside of Maryland with 7 other siblings and I'm a suburban Mumbai kid from a family of 4 and in that sense, we are poles apart. But it's our shared love and passion for guitars, music, songwriting, camp, Jon Bellion, worship, and so many other things that brought us together. Josiah is a great man who inspires me and pushes me to be a better musician, a better friend, and most importantly a better human.
Bridesmaid
"Oh, Kendall..." I feel like those words have left my mouth hundreds of times. Kendall and I were roommates my freshman year of college. Although we didn't really like each other first semester, we became close as sisters second semester. She heard everything that went down when I first met Drish and will never let me forget when I said, "And then there's this Indian guy, Drish... but he's not that important." Kendall makes me laugh so much, and I absolutely love her passion for life, loyalty to her people, and hardworking spirit. Everyone needs that special freshman roommate like Kendall.
Groomsman
Oh my, no words are enough to explain or describe the phenomenon that is Josh Rand. He's a free-spirited, extremely friendly, passionate man who has a heart for helping and loving everyone that he knows. I met Josh quite randomly and found out that we were going to be on the same hall next semester. When the new semester came around, Josh and I clicked. We shared late night talks in the hallways, had long discussions about Taylors and Martin Guitars, and played Rocket League for hours altogether! It’s an honor to have this amazing guy stand by my side as I step into marriage.
Bridesmaid
I have never in my life met a woman like Grace Jacobson. We became part of the same friend group two years ago and have made so many fun memories since, from tubing down the James river and getting stuck in the mud to belting Ariana Grande and Beyonce in the car. Grace is always 100% true to herself and doesn't care what others think about that. I admire her honesty, and most of the time it makes me laugh because I just love her so much. I got to stand by her side in May, and now I'm excited for her to stand by mine!
Groomsman
2 years of sharing a room with this Andrew Jacobson taught me that you can have differing opinions on a variety of subjects but still honor and respect them for who they are. I’m glad I randomly chose room 312 and I’m glad Andrew did too because my last two years of college wouldn’t be nearly as memorable without the countless hours of debates about literally anything, the aggressive One Night Werewolf games, and hearing intense grunting noises while I was trying to sleep as Andrew did his intense ab workouts at midnight for a reason I am yet to find out! He's a determined, headstrong, Godly man and I can always count on him to give me his honest opinion which is often hard to find.
Bridesmaid
Gloria - my soon to be sister! I've never had a sister, and I am so thankful that I'm getting this girl as one. She is beautiful, intelligent, and determined, and I love that about her! Meeting her this past December only made me more excited to join the Solomon family.
