For the Scots, Kilt is welcome and should be mandatory ;) Kilts welcome for all of course, not just the Scots! That said, for the non-kilt-wearers, smart wedding / cocktail attire is welcome. Our colour scheme is white and deep red, no restrictions on colour for anyone else, have at it!
Yes, feel free to bring a plus one of your choice - a friend, partner, whoever. Please confirm total number of people in your party including you / children as appropriate.
Sorry, no. No emotional support chickens / llamas /jellyfish either etc. Just you crazy animals…
Glentanar is in Royal Deeside, one of the warmest spots in Summer in Scotland, and one of the coldest in Winter! While summer in Scotland can be very warm and sunny, check the weather, particularly if staying longer / touring around. The Wedding will be on the lawn outside if the weather permits. Daytimes *can* be up to low 30s C in the height of Summer but Scottish weather can change rapidly like the North Sea - and be cool / raining in Summer storms. Bring a jacket just in case!
Yes
Sufficient. Anything in excess is between you and your liver and neurologist.
Yes. The Boat Inn (10mi), Loch Kinord Inn (7.3mi) Lys Na Greyne (9.7mi), Cambus O'May (12mi) in the local area and many, many more in google maps. There are even more further afield, some of them *extremely* high end if budget affords in Royal Deeside, and similarly in Aberdeen city center - a further commute away. Currently the bridge to Aboyne is closed so this may increase travel times - be prepared for detours / delays potentially. As Summer time is prime Tourist season in Scotland, it is recommended to book accommodation sooner rather than later.
