FAQs

Question

Where should I stay?

Answer

We recommend staying in Centro part of town, as this makes it easy to walk everywhere. There are tons of options spanning a wide range of styles and cost.

Question

When should I book my lodging?

Answer

The sooner the better! With a backlog of weddings from 2020, we recommend booking early to get your first choice.

Question

When should I arrive?

Answer

We suggest arriving Thursday so you can join for the Callejoneada! However, if you need to travel Friday, flying into Leon or Querétaro could allow enough time as they are ~1.5 hrs to San Miguel. That said, San Miguel is a beautiful city with lots to explore! If you have extra vacation days, come a few days early or stay a few days after to explore and enjoy :)

Question

Will there be transportation to/from the wedding venue?

Answer

We won't be providing organized transportation. However, there will be taxis waiting at the venue to take you home, and you can either call and Uber (yes Uber is in SMA!) or taxi to get to the venue. It's about 15-30 minutes outside of town (depending where you are staying) and should cost around $10.

Question

Where can I find COVID testing for US return?

Answer

COVID-19 tests are required to return to the US. Some of your hotels may offer COVID testing on site. If not, the Rosewood has a mobile laboratory in their parking lot. Hours are Tuesday - Sunday 10am to 5pm, cost should be around 550 pesos ($28 USD), and results are emailed within 2 hours. They do not take reservations, so it is on a first come, first served basis.
