👔 What To Pack

Like many beachside communities, Santa Barbara is super casual and relaxed. In June the temps range from the high 40s to low 80s, with a slight chance of rain (but hopefully not!). There's also the famous June Gloom. It's a unique phenomenon that occurs in SoCal, it's when the warm desert wind hits the cold ocean water and creates a rolling fog around the area. Temps during this time get quite chilly, so keep that in mind. For our weekend bring your swimsuit, sandals, walking shoes, and shorts. In case the night gets cool, make sure to bring a warm jacket and a pair of jeans. When the sun does break down the morning fog, don’t forget those sunglasses! Flight

Los Angeles International (LAX)

LAX is the closest major airport south of Santa Barbara. It's around a 1.5 hr drive with no traffic but anticipate a 2+ hr drive with traffic. Plenty of rental car options and even a direct shuttle to SB. It's the busiest airport but with more flights and airlines, the prices are low.

Flight

Santa Barbara Airport (SBA)

SBA is about 15 minutes away from Downtown Santa Barbara. It's a small domestic airport that carries flights from Austin, Houston, Chicago, Salt Lake City, and Saint Louis. Rental cars are available at the airport as well as Uber and Lyft. It's the most convenient option but flights lean towards pricey.

SB offers plenty of public parking lots around the Downtown, Waterfront, and Old Town areas. All lots are open 24 hours. The maximum stay is 72 hours. • First 75 minutes are free. • $1.50 per hour after the first 75 minutes. The nearest parking lots to Villa & Vine are Lot 5 & Lot 6. Expect to pay about $7 to $8 dollars total for the night. Below is the link to the real-time parking lot map. ❗️We highly recommend you use Lyft or Uber!

🚐 LAX to SB Shuttle

Rentals can be pricey and having a car is not absolutely necessary in SB. A cost-effective option is taking the shuttle bus from LAX to SB. One-way trips are $48 Roundtrip service is $95 Click the link below to make a reservation.

Train

Pacific Surfliner (Amtrak)

If you're a romantic at heart and hate sitting in traffic, we highly suggest taking the Amtrak to Santa Barbara. (Seriously, do it!) The Pacific Surfliner has multiple departures daily and the best part is a portion of its route hugs the coastline.
