FAQs

Question

Can you help us with hotels or travel?

Answer

Our wedding planners are available to help you with hotels and travel to and from Epidavros. You can contact them directly at travel@discovernafplio.gr

Question

Where should we stay?

Answer

There are many hotels and homes for rent in Archaia Epidavros within a 5-15 minute walk of our venue, Mouria. Please check our Travel section for more details and note that our wedding coordinators do help with guest accommodation.

Question

How do we get to the venue?

Answer

Epidavros is about 1.5-2 hours by car from Athens. You can either rent a car in Athens or book a car if you would rather not drive. Our wedding coordinators can help with booking your airport transfer, see our Travel page for more details. The drive is along the sea, half on the interstate, half on local roads, all roads are paved.

Question

What should we wear?

Answer

Dress code is island semi formal. Think flowy dresses, lots of color, linen. The groomsmen will not be wearing jackets. The ceremony will be on grass. Our wedding is outside by the sea and the weather in Epi in October *should* be in the 70s.

Question

Are you guys arriving early or staying later?

Answer

Ian and Tina will be in Epidavros Monday Oct 14 to Saturday Oct 19. We have some wedding duties before the 17th but we are planning to explore the area and you are welcome to join us! We are planning to visit the Ancient Theater, Mycenea, and snorkel/kayak the sunken city. (Ian will be snorkeling, Tina will be kayaking.) We are also hoping to visit Giokarika, time permitting.

Question

What currency do they use in Greece?

Answer

Greece is on the Euro!

Question

Epidavros, Epidaurus, Archaia Epidauros, Palaia Epidavros, and Nea Epidavros, whats the deal?!

Answer

Epidavros has been inhabited since 1700 BC so it has a few different names and spellings! Epidavros, Epidauros, and Epidaurus are different spellings for the same name. Archaia and Palaia Epidavros both mean Ancient and are referring to old Epidavros. This is where our wedding is. Nea Epidavros is the new town, about 8km north of our venue. Epidavros is also the name of the region, we just call it all Epi.

Question

Are Kids Invited?

Answer

Yes, our wedding and all related events are child friendly. If you are invited your children are invited too! Depending on how many children are attending we will be discussing childcare and activities with our wedding planners.
