Farm Sanctuary
Farm Sanctuary is what brought us to the Finger Lakes region in September, 2018. Billy won a rental car for a long weekend at work, and we took it on a vegan vacation! For a small fee, you can tour the 275-acre farm with more than 800 rescued farm animals. Pictured is Tina with a cow who has the opportunity to live out the rest of its life in a safe and caring environment (and even turn grey)!
Harriet Tubman Home
A bit north of Ithaca in the town of Auburn is the longtime home of Harriet Tubman. It's well worth the trip if you can get a tour with Paul Carter, who has operated the museum for decades.

Now a state park on Seneca Lake, this is a former Naval training site where we believe both Grandpa Porterfield and Grandpa Myers may have trained
