Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Our ceremony originally called for Garden Attire, and we would love it if you are still able to dress up for the occasion! (At least from the waist up! Also, pants are strongly recommended for the dance party.) Feel free to even dress pets up for the occasion. And don't forget to take pictures to send to us!

Question

What should I have for dinner? (Part 1)

Answer

We're sad that we won't be able to wine and dine you as planned! We plan on ordering Thai food, which is what we planned to serve at the reception. If you have a Thai place that you'd like to order from, we encourage you to try one of our favorites: Panang Curry or Pad Thai. (Try it vegetarian with tofu and/or veggies! And if you want to go all out to make it 100% plant-based, check that there is no fish sauce, oyster sauce, or egg.)

What if I need practice using Zoom?

Answer

Join us for a Zoom Test Run on Friday, May 22nd from 6-7 pm Eastern Time using the same link and password. If you aren't familiar with Zoom, or just want to say hello and join us for a glass of wine or cup of tea, we encourage you to "stop by" on Friday!

What if I have trouble logging into Zoom day of?

Answer

Please log in at 3:45 pm so we can let you into the Zoom room on Saturday. You may need to wait for a minute or two as we admit guests to the room. We will be locking the Zoom room at 4:05 pm. Please reach out to one us before 4:00 pm if you are having any trouble.

Can I just use my phone to call into Zoom?

Answer

If you would rather just use your phone to call into the meeting, please let us know and we will get you the number to be able to call in and listen.

Should I mute my microphone during the ceremony?

Answer

We ask that all guests remain on mute during our ceremony. On several occasions, we will place guests in breakout rooms where you can come off of mute to talk with people! Please remember to mute yourself when we are back in the full group. (If you come off of mute in the full group, we will need to mute you.)

Will we be using video?

Answer

We will be recording the video of the ceremony (and will be sharing it with someone making a documentary about weddings during Coronavirus). If you are not comfortable having your video on, we understand. But we would love to see all of your faces!

If I'm home with other people who weren't originally invited, can they join?

Answer

Of course!

I can't join on the 23rd, but can I watch the ceremony later?

Answer

If you'd like, we can send you a recording of the ceremony!

Do I have to attend the entire event?

Answer

We welcome you to join for as much of the event as you are able. Please note that the room will be locked once the ceremony begins. You can always mute yourself and turn off your video if you need to step away for a while, and we will play music during the breaks. We promise to do our best to keep you entertained!

What's your wedding hashtag?

Answer

Let's be real -- we don't really use social media. But if you post anything, use #Goodmyer (hint: it's not just a hashtag!)
