Dress up in your favorite celebratory outfit. Looking for an excuse to wear your prom dress again or have been wanting a reason to buy that floral suit? Our wedding can be that reason! Maximalist or minimalist, we just ask no jeans or t-shirts and nothing primarily white. Please reach out to Tim or Daphne if you have questions on apparel.
No, we ask that all children under 12 remain at home. Tim will fight any child under 12 that he sees at the ceremony, and Tim is really strong. So please PLEASE leave the younguns at home.
We are so glad you asked. Most of these times are approximate, but here is what to expect: SATURDAY, MAY 31 • 4pm sharp, ceremony will begin. Pictures with all attendees will immediately follow the ceremony, so do not leave for Hotel Tango until after your picture has been taken. • 5pm doors to the Foxhole are Hotel Tango will open for guests. • 5:30pm bridal party grand entrance and opening of bar. Dinner to follow. Since alcohol service will begin after the bride and groom arrive, you are welcome to purchase a drink at Hotel Tango, but note bridal party entrance will be at 5:30pm. • By 6:30pm, dancing for all! • 9:30pm last call for alcohol. • 10:15pm vacate the Foxhole at Hotel Tango. • Rest of the night, return home or proceed to the after party, which will be bar hopping around Fountain Square! See the Bride's First Matey (Nona) or Best Man (Andrew) for after party details. SUNDAY, JUNE 1 On Sunday, Trisha (bride's mother) and Jasen will be graciously hosting a post-wedding all-day cookout at their house on the northside of Indianapolis. This means that we don't have to say goodbye on Saturday and out-of-towners can get some extra time with friends and family before heading home. More details may follow closer to the wedding day, or contact Daphne, Trisha, or Tim for more information.
The ceremony and reception will be held in the Fountain Square area. We recommend out of town guests stay in Fountain Square or near Downtown Indianapolis for easy travel to the wedding activities. You can spend time with us all day Sunday, so no need to rush home!
At the reception, there will be a limited open bar, which means that guests can order alcoholic beverages at no cost to them, up to a dollar limit we have set. If that limit is met, guests may purchase their alcoholic beverages (so time your booze consumption however you feel is most efficient).
For the ceremony, there is a small lot adjacent to the Ellis Shelter. If that lot is full, the parking for the aquatic center is a short walk away, accessible by a small bridge. For the reception, you may park in the lots in front of and behind Hotel Tango and leave your vehicle overnight. There is also parking on Virginia Ave or the residential streets behind Hotel Tango, S Pine St and Elm St. Logistically, you could park by Hotel Tango before the ceremony and carpool or rideshare between the ceremony and reception locations - whatever makes the most sense for you!
