Unfortunately we are very limited with the guest capacity of our venue, and most of our friends do have children so the numbers add up quickly. Secondly, there is a pool and pond on the grounds and we want our friends with kids to relax and not be concerned about their safety. So call you favorite family member or babysitter and come take a vaca with us! If this is not possible, please reach out to us directly and we can make an exception for your little one.
The address for the Willow Camp is 3325 Hwy 1, but PLEASE NOTE THIS ADDRESS WILL TAKE YOU TO A DESTINATION IN SANTA CRUZ, not to our venue. Please map to the Stinson Public Beach 43 Arenal Ave, Stinson Beach, CA 94970 to get there. There is limited parking on site that will be occupied by the wedding party, vendors and staff. However, the public beach parking lot for Stinson beach is where we will have all the guests park. We will be emailing a map Alexandra made to you all soon. The back entrance for the Willow Camp has prayer flags and we will be hanging a couple white balloons to help you all identify it. As you enter the grounds you will then walk through beautiful Balifornia (the area of the grounds with Balinese huts where some of the wedding party will be staying) and continue on up to the main Lodge for the brunch, welcoming drinks, or the upper lawn for the ceremony.
Beyond the ceremony time of 12:30 pm being an auspicious time for us to marry, we wanted to ensure that we would have enough time to celebrate, dance, connect, and be merry with everyone. We'll see who is still standing by 9pm, haha. Since the Willow camp is in the heart of downtown Stinson beach, there is a strict 9 pm music curfew that we will firmly be upholding per the property owner's request and out of respect for the neighbors who live nearby. We can not emphasize this enough. After the music stops at 9 pm, it is not then a time to be rowdy and congregate outside, even though the spirit of celebration will be in the air. If you are in the wedding party and are staying on site please return to your respective places of stay, or you can come to the main lodge to unwind with us. If you are a guest, come say goodbye to us and leave shortly thereafter. All guests not staying on site must be off the grounds by 10 pm. We deeply appreciate your awareness with this, so thank you!
Our venue is a privately owned historical Estate; meaning please treat it, the bathrooms, bedrooms, and common areas with the utmost respect. The main lodge is over 100 years old and everything inside of it is an antique. So enjoy its beauty, explore the grounds, the secret hidden gardens, and the short walk to the beach it offers! We all know weddings can be a rowdy celebration; but we really want to emphasize that everyone needs to remain in integrity with how we use the property while we are there.
Getting engaged and married during a global pandemic was not ideal, but we are hoping by this summer things will only continue to improve with herd immunity from the spread of Omicron and vaccinations. Since many people will be traveling on planes, we are asking that everyone, no matter their vaccination status, take a rapid on the go test before coming to our wedding. You can order the test on Amazon, and not only do you get your results within 10 minutes from the comfort of wherever you staying, the results are also 90% accurate. We truly appreciate you all doing this; we want to keep everyone, and most importantly our elders and families with little ones, safe.
For those coming from out of state, summer's on the coast in California are a wild card. But in general, you can expect the temps to be in the 60s. It will most likely be foggy, cool, with possible winds. Even if we do get some midday sunshine, the highest temps on average in Stinson beach do not exceed the mid 70s. So please bring layers, perhaps a parasol for sun protection during the ceremony, a hat, and sunglasses since almost everything will be held outdoors.
We will be providing an assortment of brunch inspired dishes, along with mimosas. Things we would love you all to bring are as follows: *Fruit plates *Charcuterie boards *Pastries *Croissants *Jams or spreads *Muffins *BYOB *BYO non-alcoholic beverage of choice.
We rented the property for three days so we could spend more time with everyone, and originally were going to have an all day brunch. However, the area around the pool is not huge and cooking for 100 people two days in a row was feeling daunting. So we decided to make brunch for the family that is coming from the East Coast to see us, as well as the wedding party staying on site. Then starting at one we are having a welcoming party for all of our friends to attend. We hope the crowd we will be more split between the two times, and look forward to seeing you all!
