Here are some recommended places to stay around the lake as well as some important transport information! There are also plenty of other options, including Airbnb or accommodations in Munich. If you’re coming from Munich, there’s a direct train to Tegernsee, followed by a bus connection to Kreuth. The journey is straightforward with just one transfer and takes about 2 hours. Taxis are also available if preferred.

The train takes you directly into the town of Tegernsee from the main station in Munich. Be careful that you're on the right section, the Train splits in Holzkirchen! The sections are labeled :)
