How should we dress on the big day?

Answer

We encourage all guests to dress semi-formal, with no preferred color palette.

What will the weather be like?

Answer

In truth, it could be anywhere from bright and sunny to sleet! However, the temperature average for September on Lookout Mountain is a high of 71° and a low of 43°. But please keep an eye on the weather forecast in the days leading up to the ceremony.

I have accessibility needs. How are those handled?

Answer

There is ramp access through the main doors of the mansion. Please be aware that there is a considerable amount of walking/travel between the parking lot and the mansion grounds.

What can I expect in terms of parking and transportation?

Answer

Guests should be aware that parking is limited to 126 spaces at the mansion, and that we highly recommend carpooling with other guests. We suggest 3-4 to a car to make sure there’s room for everyone! We have elected not to hire a shuttle service up the mountain, so we advise using ride share! If you plan to take an Uber or Lyft, you should schedule a pickup before arriving, as cell phone service is unreliable up there. The mansion does have a guest telephone in the lobby if needed.

Will Childcare be provided?

Answer

Childcare will not be provided at the ceremony or the reception. We love that your kids will be celebrating with us! However, the policies in accordance with The Boettcher Mansion require that children must be closely supervised at all times, as it is a historical location that deserves special care!
