A Tinderella Story

John and Meredith met when Meredith was in school for Physical Therapy at UF, and John was working as an attorney. As many modern love stories start, theirs did on Tinder. Meredith was struck by surprise when he actually wanted to skip the chit-chat and meet up for drinks right away. (John still thinks they had dinner, but Meredith knows it was drinks.) They met at The Top in Gainesville, and as one does when nervous on a date, John talked. A lot. Maybe too much for some, but Meredith was smitten right away. Not too long after, John invited Meredith to a friend’s wedding (they weren’t even officially dating), but after a night of learning so much about each other, and the embarrassing situation of John catching the garter and having to put it on Meredith, they quickly realized what they had was a real relationship. Together, they’ve not only become best friends and partners for life, their dogs Riley and Toffee are also now inseparable. So much so that on February 8th, 2020, John included their furry family unit in his proposal to Meredith. This involved the dogs barking at the hidden photographer & nearly spoiling the surprise, too. Meredith and John, among so many couples, made the difficult decision to postpone their wedding, originally scheduled in March of 2021, in consideration for the health and safety of their loved ones and themselves. They instead, were married in a private ceremony near Ashville, North Carolina on April 8th, 2021 so as not to postpone their commitment to one another. Love is not postponed or cancelled! Their originally planned wedding celebration is now scheduled on their 1st wedding anniversary and they cannot wait to celebrate with friends and family. Since that first wedding they went to as guests, they've been to countless others as a couple, and now, it's their turn, even if the celebration is a bit delayed! They’re positive if they can get through wedding planning in a pandemic, together, they can get through anything.
