Things To Do

We realize it's a journey to get to our little corner of the planet. We also realize that once you're here there's not a whole heck of a lot to do...or so it seems! If you've made the trek and have a few days to spare, here are some options to keep yourself occupied until the big day!

Point Park

Ontario 11, Fort Frances, ON P9A 3M3, Canada

A public beach on Rainy Lake with picnic area and park. A great spot for the family! Check on the website for more recommendations.

Splash Parks

Emo and Fort Frances, Canada

Emo and Fort Frances both have great little splash parks. Emo's is located at the park (there is only one and it's on Front st. haha) and Fort's is located at the Legion Park on Lillie Ave off of King's Highway.

Hallett Brewing

408 Scott Street, Fort Frances, ON P9A 1H2, Canada

Fort Frances has a craft brewery!!! Fun little place to check out. The bannock and beer cheese is a must try!!

Kay-Nah-Chi-Wah-Nung

340 Ross Rd, Stratton, ON P0W 1N0, Canada

Kay-Nah-Chi-Wah-Nung National Historic Site of Canada is part of a vast network of ancient burial mounds extending from Quetico in the east through Rainy River and Lake of the Woods into south-eastern Manitoba.

Oscars Bay Beach on Lake of the Woods

ON, Canada

This one is a bit of a trek but if you're in town for a few days and want to explore the area this is a great spot to check out! Bring a picnic and post up for the day!

Nestor Falls

Nestor Falls, ON P0X 1K0, Canada

Another great option for a day trip if you’ve got some time to kill and want to explore the area. Lakes, lodges, and outposts galore! Lots of beautiful spots to stop along the way. The drive is pretty spectacular as well!

For all the days along the way
