We met in 2018 when Savanna joined the Texas A&M Triathlon team. After Tim had a bike crash leading to a broken collarbone and wrist, Savanna brought over a plate of chicken and rice. We became friends and after some time (months of morning workouts together and heavy hints from Savanna) Tim asked her on a date. Despite it being the night before he was to have an emergency root canal, Tim braved a plate of lasagna at Cafe Capri and hours of talking. They started dating on April 23, 2019. After surviving the pandemic together, Tim took a job in Minnesota, while Savanna started graduate school at UT Medical Branch in Galveston. They have been dating long distance for more than 3 years, and can't wait for the day they are in the same state for more than a few weeks. Tim proposed in October in their favorite garden at Texas A&M, obviously Savanna said yes!
