Riverbanks Zoo & Garden
Riverbanks Zoo & Garden in Columbia always makes our list of the top things to do. It's a small town zoo with a huge impact! Warning to parents traveling with kids, the amusement rides and climbing/zipline zone come with an additional cost. It's about a 20 minute ride and you'll get a glimpse of downtown Columbia.

EdVenture children's museum is on the outskirts of downtown Columbia. It's always a hit with the kids.

Lexington and the surrounding area is packed full of fun things to do, so if you are vacationing while you are here, we are listing some great options to check out Ice House Amphitheater is just up the road from the Holiday Inn. Second Wave Coffee & Books
Don't expect much in the way of books but if you are looking for a good cup of coffee or an adult beverage you are looking in the right direction. They also have outdoor fire pits and lawn games. It's a pretty neat spot to unwind.
