Emily grew up on Mount Desert Island in Maine and attended Allegheny College where she met her fiancé Tim. She spent many years working the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation, and enjoys to sharing her love of history with anyone who will listen. Besides Tim she loves hiking, sewing, reading, and her cat Comet.

Groom

Tim grew up in Meadville PA where he attended Allegheny College and met Emily. He is currently on orders for the National Guard Bureau in Washington DC, but when not activated he is a counselor for the State Corrections Office. Tim enjoys hiking, hunting, and outdoor recreation.

Emily and Adrienne met at Allegheny College the first week of their freshman year and quickly became inseparable. Through the many years of laughter and tears their friendship has withstood the test of time, stupidity, and distance. They are a testament that sometimes the most important thing to come out of college isn’t just the education. Adrienne will always be quick to remind Tim that she met Emily before he did.

Nicole and Emily met the first day of training at Colonial Williamsburg. Their friendship has grown through the years while writing and acting in plays, researching history, and constantly quoting Parks and Rec.

Sophia Taylor

Sophia is Emily’s sister. Though they are 15 years apart they share a love of dogs, Harry Potter, and Criminal Minds. You can find Emily asking Sophia to explain what kids these days are up to, and Sophia patiently explaining slang to an elder millennial.

Rachelle Poland

Rachelle is Tim’s sister, and mother to the three sweet flower girls. Rachelle is a fantastic gardener and a wine connoisseur.

Courtney and Emily were roommates, and met working at Colonial Williamsburg. They share a love of Jane Austen, cottagecore, and cats. You can find Courtney typing on one of her antique typewriters or taking pictures of treasures found in the woods.

Allison and Emily met through their sorority, and though Emily is Allison’s “big sister,” through their years of friendship Allison has often been the “big” in Emily’s more dramatic moments.

Tim and Peter met in fourth grade. It’s a miracle they both made it to adulthood given their inquisitive natures, ingenuity, and adventures involving motorized vehicles and objects with wheels.
