A novel beginning

“I consider a country-dance as an emblem of marriage. Fidelity and complaisance are the principal duties of both.” Jane Austen, Northanger Abbey

Tim and Emily met the first week of Emily’s freshman year and Tim’s junior year of college. Much like the heroines in Emily’s favorite Jane Austen novels, Tim asked her to dance and taught her to waltz without even telling her his name. She was immediatly smitten, and through that year and many that followed they were never far from each other’s thoughts. A chance training led Tim to Virginia in 2019, where they met for coffee and a stroll around Colonial Williamsburg. It was clear after that coffee date that they belonged together. Tim proposed on a trip to visit Emily’s family in Maine while watching the sunrise on Cadillac Mountian. They are delighted to share this day with the friends and family that mean the most to them.
