Flight
Fly into Mexico City, CDMX, MX International Airport (Officially Aeropuerto Internacional Benito Juarez). Check our Q&A section for arrival and departure details. Airport code: MEX
Travel Note
We recommend booking your flight at LEAST 2-3 months in advanced of our wedding date (it's a holiday weekend so prices could jump closer to departure). Aeromexico, American Airlines, United, and Delta all offer flights to Mexico City. We strongly encourage booking your flight directly with the airline vs. third-party sites for ease of working with the airline directly.
Travel Note
Major credit cards are accepted at a majority of restaurants and shops. If you would like to have some cash on hand, we recommend exchanging currency at the bank affiliated atms in the airport, which offers the best rates. When you arrive, exit the baggage claim area into the main terminal where you will find various currency exchange kiosks. Do not exchange at the first kiosk you see, look for the kiosk with the highest exchange rate. Not sure if it's a good rate? Check the website listed which posts the mid-market exchange rate and is updated daily. *Avoid any currency exchange you see that does not have the rate visibly posted.
Train
Uber is safe, convenient, and affordable and should cost around $8.00 - $14.00 USD for the 25 - 30 minute trip to the major accommodation locations (Condesa, Roma, Juarez or Polanco). Your US Uber account will work without issue - you simply need data (a roaming cellular plan or Wi-Fi) to request the ride.
Travel Note
The US State Department estimates 6 - 8 weeks routine processing time (as of 12/18/2023) to renew or issue a new US Passport. Please do not wait to apply or renew your passport. 6 Month Validity: Mexico, like most countries requires a minimum of 6 months validity on your passport when you enter the country. Passport must be valid 6 months beyond arrival date (expiring no sooner than April 2026). A valid passport book is required to enter Mexico by air, and those attempting to enter at an airport with a U.S. passport card only may be denied admission.

This is our favorite historical hotel (that also doubles as a museum) in Mexico City! It's centrally located with lots of great eats and sights in walking distance - and in a very multicultural and LGTBQ+ friendly neighborhood (lots of fantastic drag queens perform in venues around here, and there's lots of fantastic Asian restaurants if you suddenly find yourself craving kbbq over tacos). Would definitely recommend if you're looking for more of a local authentic experience vs. historical sites and architecture. Keep in mind, this is about ~30 mins by uber ride to the venue. It's not because it's that far away, but because the historical center of CDMX is mostly made up of narrow one way streets that ends up causing a lot of traffic as you get very closer to the venue. This hotel is between $80-195 USD a night (depending on your room selection and meal choice). We will also be providing an Uber code for guests who aren't staying within the Historical Center of CDMX so everyone can get back easily after the reception. ______ Rates have the option of a breakfast buffet 1 Queen bed or 2 Single beds w/o breakfast: 1792.50 pesos / $88.46 USD 1 Queen bed - 2380 pesos / ~ 117.45 USD (w breakfast) 2 Single bed - 2085 pesos / ~102.89 USD (w breakfast) Jr. Suite - 3500 pesos / ~ $172.72 USD (w/o breakfast buffet), 3980 pesos / ~ $196.41 USD (w breakfast) When making the reservation, you must to mention the special code to respect the established rate (Group code: BODACHRIS) To book, you can call: (55) 50800 800 EXT 1824 (55) 50 800 800 EXT 1814 (55) 50 800 800 EXT 1844 OR email: Zaida Coca at cocaz@hotelgeneve.com.mx

Quetzalcoatl's Nest: one of the most famous airbnbs in the world as it's shaped like a giant feathered snake in reference to the mythological god, built by the famous architect Javier Senosiain. It's a 4bd, 3ba, and there's a second condo available (just check the host for additional listings).
House Or Rental
If you would like to book your own AirBnB, we recommend the neighborhoods of Condesa, La Roma, or Polanco.
Travel Note
The historical center, where the wedding venue is, is full of narrow one way streets because it's just old and developed for horses and carriages long ago, so you'll naturally experience more traffic on the way to and from.
