Tim arrived in Oxford from Germany as a freshman in the fall of 2016, and I started my freshman year a little later in January 2017. We crossed paths pretty quickly as two tennis players, but I was determined to stay focused— head down on tennis, school (classrooms were a new thing after being homeschooled since 6th grade), and building friendships. That lasted about a month and a half. Somehow I found one of maybe ten guys on campus rocking skinny jeans instead of khakis and polos, and from there it was full speed ahead with no looking back! Tennis has always been at the heart of our relationship with plenty of twists along the way. Tim decided to go pro after college, living and traveling in Europe, while I swore I’d never pick up a racket again (which lasted a solid 11 months). Turns out nothing brings you back to your passion like a remote sales job in Corporate America. Now, we’re back in the town where we fell in love, doing what we love, and building our forever together! Over the past 7.5 years we’ve navigated through a pandemic (in a cozy 500 square-foot apartment with a puppy), lived in 10 different houses, and conquered two years of international long distance. We’ve shared countless ‘firsts’ experiences, traveled the world, and embraced each other’s cultures. In our love story, three things have remained constant: our shared love for Oxford, passion for tennis, and our unbreakable bond with each other. We can't wait for our worlds to come together on May 22nd, celebrating our marriage with the people we love most!
