Things To Do

Welcome to Kathleen's hometown of Pittsburgh. We are so excited to share what Pittsburgh has to offer.
Forbes Avenue & Murray Avenue

Forbes Avenue & Murray Avenue

1700 Murray Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15217

Kathleen's childhood neighborhood, Squirrel Hill. Forbes and Murray has many shops, dining options, and coffee to explore. Our suggestions include: Commonplace for coffee, Pigeon Bagels, and Mineo's Pizza House.

Mineo's Pizza House

Mineo's Pizza House

2128 Murray Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15217

The best pizza in the city, Tim's favorite. Tim's suggestion: Pepperoni Pizza with an IC Light beer.

Strip District

Strip District

1904 Penn Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15222

Kathleen's favorite place to be on a Saturday morning. Lined with converted warehouses, the hip Strip District has a vibrant mix of old-style grocers and gourmet food shops, street stands selling produce and t-shirts, plus upbeat bars, classic Italian eateries and sandwich places. Our suggestions: coffee at De Fer or breakfast at Roland's, walk down Penn Ave, grab a t-shirt at Yinzer's, and end with a cocktail at Wigle Whiskey or Kingfly.

Grandview Overlook

Grandview Overlook

Take a ride on the Pittsburgh Incline for some of the best views of the skyline!

University of Pittsburgh

University of Pittsburgh

Our hotel blocks are located in the heart of University of Pittsburgh's campus. We suggest grabbing a coffee or tea at Redhawk Cafe (120 Meyran Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15213) and walking around Pitt's campus. In the mood to walk a little further? Head up Forbes Ave and check out Carnegie Mellon University.
