Kathleen's favorite place to be on a Saturday morning. Lined with converted warehouses, the hip Strip District has a vibrant mix of old-style grocers and gourmet food shops, street stands selling produce and t-shirts, plus upbeat bars, classic Italian eateries and sandwich places. Our suggestions: coffee at De Fer or breakfast at Roland's, walk down Penn Ave, grab a t-shirt at Yinzer's, and end with a cocktail at Wigle Whiskey or Kingfly.

We suggest grabbing a coffee or tea at Redhawk Cafe (120 Meyran Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15213) and walking around Pitt's campus. In the mood to walk a little further? Head up Forbes Ave and check out Carnegie Mellon University.

Bulter St is the main street in Lawrenceville. This is one of the most popular neighborhoods in all of Pittsburgh for visitors with all interests. Find great coffee shops, boutiques, and breweries throughout the neighborhood. Our suggestions: coffee from Convive, shopping at Wild Card or Lawrenceville Market House, lunch at Mediterra Cafe, and a beer from 11th Hour Brewing Co.
