Our story begins in June of 2023, when Ashtyn started working for Congresswoman Debbie Lesko, where Tim was also working. Almost immediately we hit it off often joking and talking in the office. In September, Tim gained the courage to find Ashtyn’s phone number in the staff handbook and text her about the Congresswoman’s interview that evening. From the first message, we never stopped, eventually going on our first date just one week later to Punchbowl Social in Arlington, VA. Tim claims to have known Ashtyn was “the one” after the first date and the rest is history.

After a long, drawn out story involving a happy hour on the Speaker’s Balcony of the U.S. Capitol, Tim had Ashtyn fooled before getting down on one knee on Friday, May 30, 2025. Greeted by a crowd of tourists below and their friends Cameron O’Brien and Brenna O’Brien, who took some pretty amazing photos, Tim and Ashtyn popped champagne before heading back to Tim’s for even more festivities. It truly was a perfect day surrounded by the love of many family and friends.
