FUN FACT: This is where Matt proposed! Looking for an escape and some sunshine and great city views? Look no further than North Ave Beach or Fullerton Beach. North Avenue Beach is part of Chicago's greater Lincoln Park, stretching across more than 22,000 square feet and offering beach activities and nearby trails. The beach is perfect for a day spent lounging shoreside or taking a dip in the water. Besides your typical lake activities, there are trails nearby for biking, and you'll find vendors to rent kayaks, lounge chairs, and more.
Willis Tower
The Willis Tower (aka Sears Tower) offers spectacular views spanning up to four states, a one-stop Chicago experience full of interactive exhibits and the Willis Tower glass ledge.
Navy Pier
This Chicago landmark in 2016 marked its centennial with a major revamping, including a new carousel and restaurants. There are plenty of free activities, from the fireworks (which run May through October and on New Year’s Eve) to the new Polk Bros. Park, which features regular entertainment, an interactive water fountain and some of the best views of the Windy City.
