Torre' and I are both Nurses. We met by familiar introduction. Torre's cousin "Erica" is my best friend of over twenty years. She introduced us at her birthday party on May 10, 2024. When Erica told me she had a cousin in town working a Travel Nursing contract, I was more than happy to offer to embrace her family and offer a little southern hospitality. To my surprise, when I met Torre' he was a guy- a minor detail my loving friend forgot to mention. Ironically, neither Torre' nor myself had any interest in dating at the time. In fact, we had both given up on dating all together. Torre' later told me that he's not a fan of huge crowds, so he had decided last minute to attend the BBQ/Birthday celebration that day. Nevertheless, Torre' and I had an amazing connection almost instantly. Our conversation came easy and life finally made sense. We went on our first date the day after we met. Torre' met my mother and my daughter that day. My mother, with her amazing foresight told me that night that one day Torre' would be my husband. I'm happy to say that she was right- Remind me to invest in her fortune cookie business if she ever starts one. Moving forward to May 10, 2025, one year later I am marrying my best friend, the man of my dreams. A man who provides for me in every way, makes me feel safe, and cares for me in every way that matters. We've had quite a long journey making our way to each other, but we've learned to love and lean into each other. This past year has taught us that love doesn't have to hurt and it doesn't have to be hard. So today, with your support and your blessings, we look forward to our life together- forgetting those things that are behind us and shaking every grain of dirt from our feet. Today, in front of God and all witnesses, we choose companionship that compliments us, we choose a life of love, grace and peace, we choose love that heals instead of hurts, we choose to be happy- because we deserve that much, we choose each other. Thank you for being a part of our very special day. We implore you to never give up on love, and when you find it, lean into it all the way. And when all else fails-Just Go To The BBQ. Joyfully, The Future Mr. & Mrs. Brasher The Bride and Groom #NurseMates
