Maid of Honor
Right after joining AXO at Columbia University our sophomore year, we instantly hit it off. At a new member ice skating event, we asked each other at the same moment, "have we met before?" We were best friends ever since. Through the years, our friendship has evolved into much more than sisterhood; she’s my therapist, my un-official doctor (though she is literally a doctor), my hype queen, my second soulmate, and now...my maid of honor.
Best Man
We first laid eyes on each other in London when we entered 9th grade. Although I hated him at first (he stole my friend), when we found out we had the same birthday the rest was history. Not only is Alecco my childhood best friend, but he is my brother for life, and even my business partner... If you wanna learn more check out www.creativexent.com (shameless plug) ;)
Bridesmaid
Soon to be Sister-In-Laws, but already sisters. I met Ji Won when I first started dating Roy, and let's just say we didn't become close until...she moved. After one deep conversation, in the wee hours on a balcony (thank you jet-lag), we realized we had way more in common than dating Arwas brothers. Since then, one of my favorite things about marrying Roy is that I get to call Ji Won my sister.
Groomsman
Kai is my right hand man through every single video game, heart break, and road trip I have ever taken. We've wrestled one another, shot BB guns at each other (mainly me), and most importantly grew up together. He's my younger brother, who sometimes feels like my older one (but shh don't tell him I said that).
Bridesmaid
During my first semester of film school, my classmate Daniel noticed my obsession with throw pillows and said, "Wow! You have a lot of pillows on your bed. You would definitely get along with my girlfriend Ally." Boy was he right. We became instant friends. Now, I can't imagine life without our long conversations about life, and her surprise "thinking of you," cards she lovingly sends in the mail to this day.
Groomsman
I met Eric when he popped into an audition back in 2011 and I instantly had a man crush on him (true story). I thought if I befriended him that I had a better shot with the ladies. Little did I know this guy would be my ride or die (emphasis on the die) through our crazy journey in Hollywood. He's the kind of friend you can call at 3 in the morning to come to you (this is also a true story).
Bridesmaid
Needing a friend and some serious help for an upcoming English test, I began sitting with (and bothering) the smartest girl in school as she studied during lunch. Her name was Sasha. What started as a study buddy relationship quickly blossomed into a co-dependent cheese-grits obsession and lifelong friendship. Luckily, we grew out of the cheese grits.
Groomsman
No, I did not hire a model to fill up a spot. Yes, he is crazy attractive and he has a name! Brett is my actor friend turned brother. I met him and Eric on the same project, and well, you know the rest. Brett's heart is bigger than his biceps (last comment on his looks hehe), and I definitely wouldn't have survived LA (or life) without him.
Bridesmaid
We met in 6th grade, but became inseparable when we both weren't invited to a classmate's bat mitzvah (cue the slumber party!) After hundreds of middle-school bathroom selfies and embarrassing dance routines (which we filmed), we truly have too much dirt on each other to ever let go of our 17 year friendship. She's also my father's honorary daughter, and out of the two of us, I think she's the favorite.
Groomsman
I met Daniel during my first class at USC, and we instantly hit it off. He had the skills of a pro and arguably has the best music playlists on this planet. I knew then and there that not only had I found my college best friend, but that I had found a lifetime brother. I'm glad I was right.
Bridesmaid
During my second semester at USC, my trio-mate asked for me to reach out to this undergrad student to Assistant Direct on our class project. The following week I went to her house to pick her up, and out came Karly, who was rocking pink hair. After hours (and hours) of talking about life, spirituality, and being together on set, it became pretty clear that we'd be friends for life.
Groomsman
I met Tony during undergrad in film history class. He was pretty closed up, so I waited until he made eye contact to approach him with the ultimate pick-up line, "Do you smoke?" Although his answer was "no," my pick-up line definitely worked. He shot every film of mine in undergrad, and we even ran a no-income "for-profit" production company on YouTube. Although our days as business partners has come to an end, he is my forever collaborator and brother.
Bridesmaid
One of my first friends in film school who quickly turned into family. We bonded instantly on a fateful day at the Lorezo pool at USC. After shooting back-to-back short films, and a series of delirious all nighters, there was no turning back...we would be in each others lives for the long haul. Also fun fact, it was her house where me and Roy's relationship began!
Groomsman
I met Thomas in England during our sophomore year. At first he was just my classmate and my next door neighbor. However, after way too many teenage outings, our friendship quickly blossomed into one of the strongest bonds I have in my life. Thomas is still in London and will eventually move to the USA (he just doesn't know it yet).
Bridesmaid
Bonded by the infamous USC 546 production, Edu was brought on board to costume design a film Roy and I were producing (Thanks Victor!). What started off as a fun work collaboration turned into a ride or die friendship. We've travelled together, created some incredible films side by side, and have been sleep deprived the majority of our friendship. Clearly, nothing can break this bond.
Groomsman
I met Michiel in our high school in London. Him, Alecco, and I were inseparable. We did every single thing together except walk on grass, because Michiel couldn't damage his shiny white shoes. After Alecco ditched the crew and moved to Egypt, Michiel and I became a duo and were each other's shadow until the end of high school. Although we aren't in the same city or country anymore, our bond is pretty unbreakable (he knows way too much).
Bridesmaid
Although I don't remember meeting Vale, she's played an important role in my life since the very beginning (literally). As cousins we have truly grown alongside each other. From talking about our first crushes, to playing "school" with our dolls, to celebrating Christmas at our Titi's house, we have created some truly special memories together.
Groomsman
I met this Greek God at a house party in Studio City. He was wearing a robe, and no, it was not Halloween. Vassilios kept hosting the most awesome parties at his bar, and even attempted to teach me how to bartend. But what I remember loving most about him was what a giant teddy bear he was. To this day, V is one of my favorite people on this planet. And hey, I think it's good luck to have a God in your crew, right?
