If you haven't been to Orlando, Disney World is definitely a MUST on your list! Walt Disney World Resort is almost a 40-mile-square, full of amazing entertainment, and four incredible theme parks: Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Disney’s Holywood Studios and Disney’s Animal Kingdom! It is also full of family-friendly places to stay, including 34 resort hotels, spas, shopping centers, and even a sports centre (Disney’s ESPN Wide World of Sports)! And for our fellow Cali friends, no Disneyland is NOT the same thing haha! Although we won't lie, Universal Studios in Orlando is definitely our favorite...
If you're into movies (like us) and into intense rides (like us!!!!), Universal Orlando is a MUST! The best things to do in Universal Orlando revolve around the 2 flagship amusement parks: Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure! The theme parks have attractions based on the "Jurassic World," and "Fast & Furious" films as well as two whole lands based on the world of Harry Potter!
For years this is where younger Tiffany would choose to spend her birthday haha! Many who venture to Orlando do so strictly for some great shopping. Two of the most popular outlet malls in the city are the Orlando International Premium Outlets and the Orlando Vineland Premium Outlets. Between the two locations, you can find more than 300 designer and name-brand stores offering significant cost savings! Be sure to bring along an extra suitcase for the return trip home!
Cocoa Beach Cocoa Beach sits just east of Orlando, a straight shot down the State Road 528 toll road about an hour away. It’s incredibly easy to reach. Home to a handful of popular beachfront bars. New Smyrna Beach Quieter and more residential than the Cocoa Beach waterfront, New Smyrna Beach is further north on the east coast, but it’s also an easy drive from Orlando. Daytona Beach Just as famous for its NASCAR speedway as its seashore, Daytona Beach nonetheless offers a great Atlantic oceanside environment. You can even drive your car right onto the beach in some areas. Canaveral National Seashore This public park features a gorgeous beach as well as opportunities to fish or take nature hikes. You’ll see tons of wildlife here.
Alright, so this definitely isn't super close nor is in the Orlando area. However, for those visiting internationally or for those who have a longer vacation time, Miami is a 3.5 hour drive from Orlando and a short one hour flight! It's definitely worth going to for a couple of days if you haven't been or simply love Miami like we do :) Feel free to talk to the Bride or Groom if you have any questions about this!
