We're Getting Married!

"I was at a time in my life when everything felt like it was at a standstill- I felt like I needed to move back with my family to Texas. I prayed, "God, if you could give me one good reason to stay, I'll stay". Then exactly one week later, God gave me Tiffany. She was hired at the same retirement home I was working at and was the first to say hello. I knew instantly that she was my reason to stay. We got to know each other more, and 9 years later, here we are."

"Miro proposed to me at Aulani, near the lagoon. I totally didn't expect it, and thought we were only going for a swim- so I didn't wear anything cute, I didn't do my nails, I didn't even brush my hair after swimming. We went up by the rocks to take a picture at sunset, and had Miro's sister, Tovy, and brother-in-law, Jun, take a picture of us. Right when we were in the perfect pose, I saw Miro get down and kneel on one knee, with a ring box in his hand. Before he could even pop the question, tears started coming out of his eyes- this man was bawling. I think it was because of the rocks and how his knees were literally on fire. But he asked, 'Will you marry me?' amidst the super loud waves in the background, and I said, 'Yes! Of course!' And now we're back, getting married on the same island where it all started"
