Maid of Honor
A friendship that began in September 2016, at the fresh start of a new school year, when we found ourselves as first period gym classmates. I was a sophomore, and Iranny was a junior. What we expected to be just a casual, in class friendship quickly turned into something so much deeper a bond built on memories, trust, learning, love, and loyalty. Iranny has been by my side through my darkest moments and my highest celebrations. Even through distance and life’s unpredictable changes, our friendship has remained solid. A real sisterhood and a person I can trust whenever in need of a helping hand, that’s Iranny Espinal. It is with so much love and pride that I have the honor of making her my maid of honor 💖 Una amistad que comenzó en septiembre de 2016, al inicio de un nuevo año escolar, cuando coincidimos como compañeras en la clase de gimnasia. Yo estaba en mi segundo año y Iranny en tercero. Lo que pensábamos que sería solo una amistad dentro del salón rápidamente se convirtió en algo mucho más profundo, un lazo construido sobre recuerdos, confianza, y amor Iranny ha estado a mi lado en mis momentos más oscuros y en mis celebraciones más felices. Incluso con la distancia y los cambios impredecibles de la vida, nuestra amistad se ha mantenido firme. My first impression of Melvin was that he was this short guy with wild ideas and way too much energy. we started hanging out more, and I realized this guy wasn’t just funny and unpredictable, he was real. After high school, we even went to the same college, and that’s when our friendship really started growing. He became one of my closest friends the kind of person who will have your back no matter what, show up when you need him, and tell you the truth even when it’s not what you want to hear. That’s just who he is honest, loyal, and always there, usually with some ridiculous story or idea that somehow ends up turning into a great memory. I’m proud to have him by my side and proud to have him as my best men. Mi primera impresión de él fue que era este chico bajito, lleno de ideas locas y con demasiada energía. Con el tiempo empezamos a pasar más tiempo juntos, y me di cuenta de que no solo era divertido y un poco impredecible, sino también una persona auténtica. Después de graduarnos, incluso fuimos a la misma universidad, y ahí fue cuando nuestra amistad se volvió aún más fuerte. Se convirtió en uno de mis amigos más cercanos el tipo de persona que siempre te cubre las espaldas, que aparece cuando lo necesitas, y que te dice la verdad aunque no quieras escucharla. Así es él honesto, leal, y siempre presente, normalmente con alguna historia o idea loca que, de alguna manera, termina convirtiéndose en un gran recuerdo. Estoy orgulloso de tenerlo como Hombre de honor.

I met Isabella in 2018 during gym class. What is it with my friendships flourishing in gym class? We were on the same timing that we didn’t want to be there, and just wanted to pass. We were the laziest ones in the class, refusing to do anything except chat the entire period. She was a little weird, but weird is fun because she was always a vibe to be around. One time she showed up to gym class, in the hot summer sun, wearing Ugg boots. Confidently walking the outside track like it was nothing. From the moment I met Bella, I knew she was different. Through every high and low, we’ve stuck by each other. I couldn’t have asked for a better sister, someone I can always rely on, no matter the time of day. 💓 Conocí a Isabella en 2018 durante la clase de gimnasia. ¿qué tendrán las clases de gimnasia que ahí florecen mis amistades? Estábamos con el mismo pensamiento no queríamos estar ahí y solo queríamos pasar. Eramos las más perezosas de la clase, negándonos a hacer cualquier cosa excepto conversar durante todo el período. Era un poco rara, pero lo raro es divertido. Una vez llegó a la clase de gimnasia, bajo el sol ardiente del verano, usando botas Ugg. Caminando con confianza afuera como si nada. Desde el momento en que conocí a Bella, supe que era diferente. En cada momento bueno y malo hemos estado ahí la una para la otra. No podría haber pedido una mejor hermana, alguien en quien siempre puedo confiar sin importar la hora del día. 💓.

To my younger brother since the day you were born, I took it as my mission to always be there for you and protect you no matter what. Watching you grow into the man you are today has been one of the best things in my life. I’ll never forget all the great times we’ve had especially watching UFC fights together those memories will always stay with me. One day, I’ll tell my kids about all those moments and how proud I’ve always been to call you my little brother and proud to have you as one of my groomsmen. Para mi hermano menor desde el día en que naciste, tomé como misión estar siempre ahí para ti y protegerte sin importar lo que pasara. Verte crecer y convertirte en el hombre que eres hoy ha sido una de las mejores experiencias de mi vida. Verte graduarte y seguir tu sueño de convertirte en chef me llenó de orgullo y felicidad. Me alegra saber que encontraste algo que realmente te apasiona. Nunca olvidaré todos los grandes momentos que compartimos, especialmente viendo las peleas de la UFC juntos. Esos recuerdos siempre los llevaré conmigo, y algún día se los contaré a mis hijos, para que sepan lo mucho que siempre he estado orgulloso de llamarte mi hermano menor.

I met Valerie when she was around 14 years old, right at the start of my journey with Alex. Now she is 19 years old. She’s always been around, and from early on, she trusted me enough to come to me for advice and support. Valerie isn’t just “Alex’s sister” to me, she’s like a little sister and a dear friend all wrapped into one. She has such a warm, bright spirit, and I’ll always do my very best to be there for her, no matter what.🤍 Conocí a Valerie cuando tenía unos 14 años, justo al comienzo de mi relacion con Alex. Ahora tiene 19 años. Ella siempre ha estado cerca, y desde el principio confió en mí lo suficiente como para buscarme para pedir consejos y apoyo. Para mí, Valerie no es solo “la hermana de Alex,” es como una hermanita y una amiga muy querida en una sola persona.
