Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

The wedding day dress code is Formal. Men: White long sleeve guayabera, bow tie, and dress pants. A guayabera is a traditional piece of formalwear in the Caribbean and Latin America typically worn at special events such as weddings. Dress shoes are required. Shorts and sandals are not permitted. See photos above. Women: Colorful flowy maxi and midi dresses are common for tropical weddings, but jumpsuits and dressy separates are also appropriate. Opt for lighter colors (no cream and white) and breathable fabrics. As for shoes, stick to grass friendly dress shoes ie chunky heels.

Question

Are children welcome on the wedding day?

Answer

While we love your kids, we respectfully request no children at our wedding. We hope you understand and can still join us on our special day! We will be providing a babysitting/chaperone service at the venue. This will keep them nearby, but we ask that they spend their time there. Please reach out to us with any questions!

Question

Can I bring a guest?

Answer

Although we would love to be able to accommodate everyone, our wedding is RSVP only. We will only accommodate those listed on your invitation.

Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

In mid-April, Puerto Plata has an average daily temperature of 24°C (75°F) making most hours very pleasant. Highs may reach 30°C (86°F) and dip to 18°C (64°F) overnight/early mornings. However, be sure to check an extended forecast before leaving home.

Question

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Our wedding ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception are all outdoors in the Garden adjacent to the beach.
