how we met - his

Oh my, where do I begin? We met on a mountain in Georgia. We had both chosen to go to Global and pursue whatever God had called us to do. While I was there, I found this attraction to Tiffani that I just couldn’t shake. That was by November of being there, which was only three months after we had arrived. It was almost comical my pursuit of her there because I think she denied every move I would make towards her. She loved keeping the rules, and what can I say? I am a rule breaker. I continued to pursue her heart every chance I had, until finally she realized that I was worth giving a shot. That didn’t last long. Soon it was back to trying to chase her down. Fast forward a year or so, and I think there was a moment where I thought that I could do life without her being in it. Then she had a car accident and I realized that there was no way in this world that I could do life without her. She is the one for me and the only person I could even dream about being with for the rest of my life. So, I pursued her heart with everything I had and now looky, looky she has a shiny ring on her finger and I get to pursue her heart forever.

how we met - hers

We met on a mountain in Georgia. After graduating high school, we both followed God's call to attend the Global Institute for Youth Leadership. Zach being a small town boy from Sweet Lips, Tennessee and myself being a city girl from Jacksonville, Florida, I know we never would have met if we had decided to ignore God's direction in our lives. Although dating, and even liking the opposite gender, was forbidden at Global, Zach had his sights set on me fairly quickly. I was so not interested. We became good friends, and the more I got to know him, the more I began to open myself up to the idea of being more than friends. During spring break my friend and I got stranded on the side of the road and Zach volunteered to drive for hours to come pick us up. It was his selflessness that first drew me in. Today he remains one of the most selfless people I know. We've had many bumps along the way, as I am the most indecisive person to ever live. Through all the craziness, Zach remained in pursuit of my heart. He never gave up on me, and because of him I better understand God's love for me. He's in seminary to be a preacher. I'm in college to be a teacher. So cliché, so in love.
