Yes, the ceremony will take place in the nave of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral and the reception will take place in their courtyard.
The Orthodox wedding is a service of the sacrament of marriage. With the service comprising of the betrothal service with the exchange of rings, and the Marriage service with the Crowning in Marriage & the Dance of Isaiah. As such the service is about forty-five minutes long.
While the wedding ceremony is a service of the church and open to all who know us, our reception will be a closed event.

In this ever changing pandemic, due to current guidelines & the policies of Holy Trinity Cathedral guests will be required to wear a mask when indoors. As such we have moved the reception outside to the courtyard. We further ask guests to wear masks when going through food lines.
As it stands we are only going to to be at 1/5 of the capacity of Holy Trinity with spacing being maintained between groups for seating during the ceremony. The reception tables will be spaced out so as to maintain spacing between each table. In the food lines guests will need to wear masks and sanitize hands.
Yes, there will be a social hour between to allow for a few post ceremony photos that weren't taken before, for guests to mingle, and for those not staying for the reception to welcome the newly weds.
We will have a served buffet where guests can select what they would like from the options. The options will include both meat and vegetarian options.
Yes, seating will be assigned and a seating chart will be posted as you enter the reception.
We will have a few non-alcoholic beverages available, as well as beer and wine for those who would like. This is an open bar, but it will be served by bartenders to ensure health and safety. There will be no fights or shenanigans lol.
