T: Caleb and I met at Rhodes College in Memphis. We actually met at a fraternity party - he was very forward about being interested in me... in fact, his first words to me were a somewhat slurred "Hi.. you're pretty." I was pretty appropriately freaked out and spent a lot of time rejecting his attention. Luckily for him, one of my friends happened to be dating his best friend. I trusted her judgement, and she promised that he would behave himself if we went out. She set us up for a sorority formal as a last-minute date. I was skeptical, but he was absolutely lovely - he was intelligent, kind, a great conversationalist, and attentive. Plus it helped that he is attractive. We had so much fun having dinner and dancing with friends and then spent until 5am that night up talking. He failed his Spanish exam at 8am the next morning, but he still promises to this day that it was worth it. Since then, we have been inseparable and moved from Memphis to Little Rock, where he is currently working as an attorney and I am working as a mental health therapist. We have been together approximately 8 years at this point and have been engaged for about a year. We now have our house and three hateful cats - and are starting our lives together. We have lived together ever since I squatted in his house that one time over Christmas break and never moved out. Like, he couldn't get me to leave. And I can't get him to leave either. And I wouldn't want to. C: We met at college at a party at my fraternity house. While I was not in the most sober state of mind, I immediately became enamored with her and pursued her pretty single mindedly over the next month. I love how empathetic she is. I love her sense of humor. I love her drive to be a better version of herself.
