Bahia Principe Luxury Runaway Bay

This is where ALL of the wedding shenanigans will be had. Your food, beverages (alcohol included), and fun for the entire trip will be included with your hotel accommodations. Once you get to the resort, you won't need to think about money until you leave! We ask that everyone be responsible for booking their own travel accomodations for the trip. Check out these websites to help you organize flights and/or hotel stays: Travelocity.com, Expedia.com, Skyscanner.com, or bahia-principe.com. Also, keep in mind, you'll need to hire a shuttle to get you from the airport to the resort. Sometimes you can book a shuttle directly with the hotel booking for a little extra. A cab will probably cost you $30-$50 each way. (45 min drive)

Flight

(MBJ) Sangster International Airport - Montego Bay, Jamaica

This is the nearest airport to the resort we will be staying at. Try to organize your shuttle or taxi to and/or from the resort before flying in, if possible. You'll save money and prevent any sort of awkward interaction by booking ahead of time. Due to the level of poverty in some parts of the country, you'll pass through some military checkpoints while traveling to the resort. This is normal in Jamaica. Just be sure to carry your passport in an easily accessible location in case an official asks to see it along the way.

Things to keep in mind <3

This resort is huge and features many different locations/offers. We opted to stay in the "Luxury" portion of the resort because it's adults only and our ceremony will be there. The Luxury side provides access to the entire resort, whereas the Grand side cannot have access to the Luxury side and amenities. If you find you need to save a little money, you can book "Bahia Prinicipe Grand" -- But, you wouldn't be able to access our private beach, restaurants, pools, or nightclubs. ***We were assured you could visit for our wedding though. *** Each room comes stocked with a mini-bar and snacks, and on the Luxury side a private butler. The hotel has a private golf course, tennis course, large pools, restaurants, bars, live music, themed parties, etc. We hope you enjoy this resort as much as we do! (We truly think you will!) We ask all guest to be on the resort from December 28h - December 31st at minimum. If you plan to stay longer you are more than welcome to extend your stay.
