Julissa is Teleia's best friend of almost 13 years! They've been through thick and thin together and through every stage of life. Teleia met Julissa in Lighthouse Christian Center (now Life Church) in her hometown, Oak Harbor. They still stay in touch and talk regularly.
Fred Bigby
Best Man
Fred is a hardworking man who is patient, compassionate, and is unwavering on what he believes is right. He served 20 years in the United States Navy on submarines. He always fought to push Daron to new heights, challenging him to never settle for mediocre. That was not only exemplified in his words but in his actions, whereas he has been able to retire before the age of 55. He is the father of Daron and his brother, Devin, and the husband to Angela Bigby. Dad: thank you so much for never compromising your ideals. You always showed what it meant to be a successful black man in America and helped me believe that I can do anything I set my mind to. I'm so glad to call you Dad and even more honored to call you friend. I love you.

Sarha and Teleia attended the same church for several years. Eventually Sarha became Teleia's Life Group leader in high school. This is really when things started to blossom in their friendship! After Sarha met her husband, Carlos Garcia, Teleia got the privilege of doing her makeup on their wedding day.
Ashelyn Oakland

Ashelyn is the youngest of the 4 Oakland kids and Teleia's little sister. When Teleia was 8-years-old and found out her mom, Michelle Oakland, was pregnant, she prayed to the Lord every day that it would be a girl.
Hannah Hurley

The Hurley family are best friends with the Cargill and Oakland family and have been for over 10 years! Teleia has watched Hannah grow up and has become like an older cousin to her and her siblings. From babysitting on a weekly basis to watching her enter high school, Hannah will always have a special place in Teleia's heart and is honored to have her as a bridesmaid.

Lacey is Teleia's youngest cousin and one of her dear friends. They grew up and played together when they were kids and we were reunited when the Oakland family moved to Arizona in 2019. They've made many fun and beautiful memories together!
Mikaela Haight

Teleia and Mikaela officially met in January of 2019 a few months before the Oakland family moved in April. Almost 2 years later, they love hanging out together and the spark of their friendship is now a full flame! Mikaela has quickly grown to become one of Teleia's closest friends and is one of the sweetest people you'll ever meet.

Maegan and Teleia have spent some beautiful times together! They both share a love for the movie Pride & Prejudice (the one with Keira Knightly) and food of all kinds. Although they haven't known each other for long, their friendship sparked from natural chemistry and they have been there for each other since the beginning of their friendship.
Luke Oakland

Luke is the 2nd of the 4 Oakland kids, the oldest boy, and Teleia's younger brother. Daron and Luke quickly grew a friendship shortly after Daron arrived at Life Church and still goof around and hangout to this day! They both share a love for all things DnD.
Quin Snyder

Quin has relationship with both Daron & Teleia as the youth pastor in Life Church and their personal friend. Daron worked closely with Quin as an intern for Next Youth Ministry in Life Church for a season. This is when their friendship quickly grew. They continued serving together in youth ministry all the way up until Daron moved to Arizona in 2019.
Blake Cargill

Blake is the cousin of Teleia and brother-in-spirit to Daron. Daron and Blake bonded immediately over the game Dungeons and Dragons and enjoy spending time together being as weird as humanly possible. He is always willing to lend a listening ear and offer a tender hug as support to anyone who needs it.
Dominic Ribaudo

Dominic is one of Daron's closest friends from high school and college. They competed on the their high school debate team together and spent most days studying together in college. He is now married and practicing law in Texas.
Boston Walser

Boston served in the Navy and went on their first deployment together. He helped Daron through a difficult season of his life and always been there to support him and have fun. Boston is still active in the Navy and is stationed in Hawaii.
Dylan Hansen

At Daron's last duty assignment in the Navy he met Dylan and they quickly hit it off, sharing a mutual love for cooking and fine dining. Though they haven't known each other long, they are certainly brothers who are there for each other.
Bella Hurley

Bella is the youngest of the 3 Hurley kids and is Hannah's sister. She is also Ashelyn's best friend and is a fiery, fun, and loving girl. Teleia went from changing her diapers as a baby to watching her grow up into the beautiful girl she is today!
Sam Smith

Sam holds a special place in both Teleia & Daron's hearts! Teleia has watched him grow up and Daron has had the privilege of being his teacher in Kid's Church during his time at Life Church. Sam has a baby brother, Eli, who he loves with all his heart. His parents are Jim & Helen Smith who are personal friends of both Teleia & Daron.
Pastor Marc Cargill

Pastor Marc is Teleia's uncle and pastor. He pastors Hope Church in Tucson along with his wife, Cheryl Cargill. Teleia has had the privilege of not only being his niece and part of Hope Church, but also his Administrative Assistant as a Hope Church employee. She has had the opportunity to be personally mentored by him on several occasions. From traveling to different assemblies and conferences, to work, to church services/events, to family time. Pastor Marc is a dear mentor, pastor, and family member.
Michelle Oakland

Michelle has always been there for her family and is loyal, kind, faithful, compassionate, and loving. She is one of Teleia's best friends and is often her go-to when she needs advice. Family and the church mean the world to her and will always hold a special place in her heart. She is a wonderful mother of 4 and wife to Michael Oakland. Mike is a father of 4 and is husband to Michelle Oakland. He strives everyday to be an example of an excellent work ethic, love, humor, and a Godly example to his family. He is the proud owner of Horizon Inspections in Tucson and hopes to grow and provide a business he can pass on to his family later. He loves the Lord with all his heart and has served alongside his wife in ministry for years. From Teleia: Thank you, dad, for being a great father to me. We've had our ups and downs, but there is no one in this world more perfectly suited for me. I'm proud to call you my dad and am so excited you get to walk me down the aisle. I love you ❤️

A champion of unconditional love without sugarcoating the truth, Angela is the modern definition of a superhero. While her husband served dutifully overseas, she held down the fort at home caring for her two kids, holding two jobs, and finished her degree. Her tenacity and dedication to excellence helped create a successful career in higher education. She is probably the sweetest woman you will ever meet and will most likely try to shove a plate of food in your face with a smile. Mom: You are my example of a strong woman. You helped me define my standards of a good woman and I found one. Thank you for being my mom well after I left the house. You didn't have to continue to parent me like that well into my 20s, but I also know it is foolish to think you'd do anything different. I love you.

Daron's younger brother, Devin, is the youngest of the 2 Bigby boys and currently lives in Guam with his wife, Madeleine. Devin is a Navy veteran while his wife is still active. They are expecting a baby boy, Casey, in November!
