Flight
This is the primary airport serving the New Orleans Area. You can fly in the morning of the cruise via major airports like Delta and American. Low-cost carriers like Spirit, Allegiant, and Jet Blue are available as well depending on where you are flying out of. A safe arrival time would be prior to noon. At check-in, you can select your port arrival time, but the final boarding time prior to sailing is ~2:00 PM.
Rental Car
If traveling to New Orleans by vehicle, please make sure you arrive in time to board the ship, the day before or well prior to Noon the day of. Again, at check-in, you can select your port arrival time, but the final boarding time prior to sailing is ~2:00 PM, after which they'll discontinue boarding and prepare for sailing. You can park your car at the Port for $25 a day; information regarding reservations and advance parking payments can be found here https://portnola.com/cruise. Otherwise, you may park at a relative's house with John and I and make plans to Uber to the port. If you will arrive in New Orleans via train, airport, or just prefer not to park at the port, Uber or Lyft are reliable ride-share options to utilize. For those flying in, Carnival provides an airport shuttle to their port. This must be booked in advance; you can find more info on their FAQs page.
House Or Rental
If arriving prior to our sailing date, please arrange your lodging well in advance! Our cruise is the same week as Juneteenth, and some hotels may inflate because of the holiday. We recommend finding affordable stays on third-party sites like Priceline and Expedia while they are still affordable. Marriott, IHG, Hyatt, and Wyndham all have locations that are still pricing rooms under $200 per night. Airbnb also has some pretty affordable one-night options for smaller groups of 1-3 and even for larger homes if splitting the price amongst a group of 4 or more. We also have an Airbnb for our Bachelor/ette activities that guests are welcome to stay in. Priority was given to our wedding party and immediate families.
