Go to Tettegouche's Palisade Head for a 300-foot volcanic rock cliff, offering panoramic Lake Superior views. It's about a mile from the visitor center for some stellar views!
Right off Route 61, you can find a hike to three different tiers of the Hidden Falls (Upper Falls, Lower Hidden Falls, and Lower Cascades). 1-2 miles depending on which viewpoints you venture to!
There is a paved path 1/10 mile from the visitor center to the Falls. The trail continues north under Highway 61 to a view of the scenic Upper Falls. This little loop is a half mile total from the visitor center and back. (This is one of our favorites. Consider it the "Rough Ridge" of the North Shore)
This is one of Graham's favorite spots while he's over in Minnesota. We highly recommend going here if you're headed south towards Gooseberry Falls.
