MC and Thuy met after MC would stop by Thuy and Lexi's office several times to talk to Lexi. One day on a coffee run, she (being as friendly and kind as she is) asked if Thuy wanted coffee too but Thuy didn't know if she was talking to just Lexi or not so she played it safe and didn't respond. Now, MC and Thuy get coffee a lot! Thuy also dragged MC to volunteer at a local tailored meal prep nonprofit, and they did over 50 (!!) hours of volunteering in a year! This is where MC makes everyone listen to ABBA and gets annoyed when Thuy says she remembers a song only because of Mama Mia. MC and Thuy like to run together (at MC's slow pace or Zone 2) and judge real runners while trying not to die. MC is the perfect person to plan and coordinate this wedding because of her attention to detail, selfless service to her friends, and her impeccably high standards. Procrastinators like Thuy and Zed need someone to corral them into making this wedding thing actually happen and MC is the one who can.
Lexi
Officiant
Lexi and Thuy met because they share the same fav person ever (PhD advisor), Craig! Thuy thinks they solidly bonded over the semester-long ice skating lessons that Lexi gave Thuy. They are currently dodging the Mariucci Arena's staff because they campaigned hard for prepaid stamp cards and never returned to actually buy them. Life gets busy, okay?! Thuy also credits Lexi with helping her finish that pesky third aim of her dissertation! Thuy admires Lexi for her willingness to be bold and voice her opinion and also being kind beyond belief. She also has impeccable grammar. Lexi is the perfect person to officiate as she shares the same no-nonsense attitude about life that Thuy and Zed do.
Charles
Master of Ceremonies
Charles and Thuy met when Charles interviewed Thuy and ignored her the whole time. It turns out that they were both just confused (as they usually are). Charles and Thuy love to send food and Viet culture instagrams and over-order and over-eat food together. They got some good jokes in on each other when they first started hanging out, but she is very thankful for him even though he makes her talk about feelings or whatever. Charles is one of the most compassionate, thoughtful, and generous people Thuy has ever met and she secretly considers him her little brother.
Kablia
Wedding Strategist
Kablia and Thuy met for coffee one day and never looked back. They bonded over Thuy's upcoming trip to Missoula, Montana- Kablia's hometown! Thuy loves that Kablia only does tequila shots (a straight to the point gal!) and that she is so close to her family and makes Thuy feel like a part of her family! Thuy really admires how supportive Kablia is of her friends, how generous she is with her time and energy, and how positive she is no matter the situation. She handles her business and can handle yours too! Kablia hosts the best gatherings and Thuy and Zed are grateful she is lending her energy to making this wedding come to fruition.

Thuy met Chris through Charles, whom they now like to gang up on for fun (he knows it's all love). Chris brings so much kindness, understanding, and energy to the group! Thuy was very appreciative when she went indoor rock climbing for the first time in years and Chris was super supportive and patient helping her get acclimated and climb. Chris is very good at trivia and is actually a pretty fast runner (even though he says he doesn't run...). Chris is the perfect person to capture these wedding memories because his caring nature gives him an eye for the special candid moments that mean the most to Thuy and Zed. They've seen Chris perform under stressful situations and have been impressed by all he's able to do. (If you've made it this far, tell Charles that Chris's bio was longer than his. lol)
