Angie is Ashley's Aunt. When we were talking about who we wanted to be the one to join us in our union it was the easiest decision of the whole thing besides saying yes to Caitlin. Angie was one of the first people I came out to when I realized that I was gay and I remember being so fearful to tell anyone. I was met with nothing but love and support and that moment made the rest of coming out so much easier. That is Angie, she has been a support and a constant for as long as I have known her and when I introduced her to Caitlin she brought her into the family and welcomed her with the same love and support. She has become a large part in both of our lives and we couldn't think of a better person to marry us.
Nash Kernin
Man of Honor
Nash was the man the stole Caitlin's heart on September 18th, 2014. Nash is the nephew of Caitlin and also one of the most important men in Caitlin's life these past 10 years. Nash may pick on his Auntie for being taller than her but deep down we all know his love for his Auntie is like no other just like her love for him. We can’t wait to have him next to us on the big day, with us the whole way!
Abby Kernin
Matron of Honor
Abby came into Caitlin's life in 1999 when Caitlin's dad and Abby's mother started dating. Caitlin always wanted a sister and she was finally getting the sister she’d never had. Abby is not just a "step sister" to Caitlin but more of a "real sister" and "best friend" to Caitlin. Abby is someone who has always been there for Caitlin throughout the years. She has been there for the good times as well as the hard times. Having her stand next to us was one of the easiest decisions for the day to make.
Katie Pertzsch
Matron of Honor
Caitlin met Katie in the fall of 2007. They officially met that fall but Caitlin was too shy to talk to Katie and Gina (who lived in the next dorm room) until the winter of 2007. Well, the rest is history after Caitlin finally started talking with them. Caitlin and Katie spent some solid Spring Breaks during college back in Winona while the rest of the crew went on vacations. Katie has been Caitlin’s best friend since and we are so excited to have her with us on the big day!
Rachel Antony

Caitlin met Rachel when she moved to West Salem in the Fall of 2000. Rachel discovered that Caitlin had played soccer in Winona and remembered this short girl on the Winona team that had some speed and skills (I no longer have the speed or skills but still got the short part 😉 ). Rachel and Caitlin became good friends and the friendship really grew throughout middle and high school years. Caitlin and Rachel both played the clarinet in band and love to crush it on the soccer field. After high school their friendship grew even stronger, staying best friends. Rachel and Caitlin make it a point to get together and remain close in each others lives. Rachel is one of the "book club" members who make sure to do a girls weekend at least once a year. Rachel has a heart of gold and we are blessed to have her in our lives and by our sides when we say I do!
Jen Stettler

Caitlin met Jen through her sister Abby. Yes she was Abby's friend first but overtime Jen went from being Abby's friend to being Caitlin's friend as well! Jen is someone who if you see Caitlin out and about you likely might see Jen with her. Jen has become like a sister to Caitlin, a never ending support, always loving and accepting no matter what. We can’t wait to have her next to us on our big day! #Sisterwives

Sara and Caitlin met in middle school but became even closer in high school with their friend Kylee. Sara is a crazy dog mom just like Caitlin and Ashley. Sara has always been a phone call or text away from Caitlin her whole life. She was also the first person in Caitlin's life to meet Ashley, and we wouldn’t want her anywhere but next to us on our big day.
Whitney Ditlevson

Whitney was another person that Caitlin met when she moved to West Salem. Their friendship really bloomed in high school after Whitney realized that there was more to Caitlin besides the inappropriate comments 😊. Whitney was someone who helped Caitlin get through some of the hardest years in High School with her father's illness and death. Though Whitney is the furthest away on Caitlin’s side she is still one of the closest friends Caitlin has to date. Caitlin knows she can call Whitney at ANY time of the day and Whitney will be there for her and we cannot wait for her to be there with us on our wedding day!
Mel Meinking

Mel is another one that is from the West Salem Book club crew. Mel did not play soccer or play clarinet but that did not stop them from creating an incredible friendship throughout middle and high school years. Mel also works in the medical field and at times you can catch them gabbing about the medical field much to the chagrin of those around them. Mel is a constant for Caitlin and a friend that she can always lean on and we are so excited to have her with us as we say “I do”
Kennedy Kernin

Kennedy stole Caitlin's heart the evening of May 3rd, 2011. Kennedy was a true blessing to Caitlin's life. Kennedy is the niece of Caitlin but also a best friend to Caitlin. Caitlin has enjoyed watching Kennedy grow into the young lady she has become. Kennedy is always there for her auntie and we are glad that will be no different on our big day when we have her there with us!
Allison Schlueter

Allie is Ashley's little sister. Growing up was an adventure together, polar opposites in every way, when we were little this caused more turmoil than times of peace, as we grew up we realized their differences complimented each other. In adulthood Allie has become a rock, a new perspective when needed, a best friend, a confidant, and we can't wait to have her next to us as we take this step together.
Kerri Hoey
Maid of Honor
Kerri is Ashley's best friend. Kerri and I met at my first job out of college, she was the poor soul training me in. We immediately hit it off and became best friends in a very short amount of time. Kerri's family has become my family and vice versa. Kerri has seen trying times, happy times, and all the times in between with me. We are so excited to have her next to us every day and on the big day.

Rachel is a close friend of Ashley's. Rachel and Ashley met through a mutual acquaintance and quickly became friends. Rachel is a strong advocate, a selfless heart, and a laugh when it's needed most. Rachel has been there through highs and lows and with me every step of the way, a fierce supporter and protector always. We both feel so blessed to have her in our lives and have her by our sides as we say I do.

Jessica is a close friend of Ashley's. Jess and I met through a mutual acquaintance and our friendship blossomed from there. Jess and her husband have always been a source of joy, support, and encouragement for me. Jess is a strong willed and beautiful soul who has remained a friend through all circumstances of life. We are so blessed and excited to have her with us on this journey and as we say I do.
Stephanie Rybold

Steph is a close friend of Ashley's. Steph and I met working at Hiawatha Valley, my first social work job out of college. Steph had been in the job for a while and helped guide me through the ins and outs and along the way became one of my favorite humans. Now many years later she is still one of the key people in my life and one of the most beautiful souls anyone could ever have the honor of knowing. Steph has been there through every up and down along the way since then, always a friend and a rock no matter what and we are so proud to have her with us for this step in our lives.
Jordan Bartholomew

Jordan is Ashley's little cousin. I grew up with Jordan, literally and figuratively, weekends at each other's homes and spending time together all of the time. I learned how to play football with Jordan, went next door to his home and hit rotten apples with tennis rackets into fields, and played playstation 1 (yes, you read that right) in our grandparents basement. He has since met the love of his life and moved to Ohio and we have been lucky to also plan our weddings at the same time. We are so blessed to have Jordan in our lives and by our sides when we say "I do".

Nick is a close friend of Ashley's. Nick is the husband of our bridesmaid Rachel and I met him through her. Nick quickly became a friend outside of my friendship with Rachel and has become family along with his wife and son. Nick is one of the sweetest souls, kindest hearts, and friendliest faces you'll find. Nick has been there through highs and lows along the way and we are so happy to have him with us on the big day!

Joe is Ashley's soon to be brother-in-law. We met through Caitlin but quickly became friends. Joe and his family have been the best addition to my life, besides Caitlin herself, that I didn't know I needed. We both are so thrilled to have him next to us along with his beautiful family when we say "I do".

Jack is Ashley‘s little cousin and affectionately known as the youngest Berg or J money. I was in college when Jack was born and I remember being so excited to meet this little guy. Since then he has become my little buddy, my partner in crime, and I have watched him grow into a pretty amazing kid. We are so excited to have him next to us on our big day!

Bella and Ivy are Matron of Honor Katie's little girls. Bella and Ivy have become like nieces to Caitlin. These two don’t just adore Caitlin but also adore Ashley just as much. Ashley and Caitlin could not picture their big day without having these two precious girls apart of it. Anita is the niece of Caitlin. Anita added to Caitlin's blessing of Auntie life in January 2021. Anita is the niece that brings spunk and sass into Caitlin's life. Anita adores both her aunties Caitlin and Ashley and they adore her in return and cannot wait to have her with us on our big day.
Oliver Schlueter

Oliver is Ashley‘s nephew. Being auntie to Oliver is my favorite role to play in life, and watching him grow into the paw, patrol, monster, truck loving, compassionate little boy he is has been the biggest honor and privilege. Now, as I get to add my new role of wife, we are so excited to have Oliver next to us!
