Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Katie Janda and Kyle Thomte
We are so excited for you to experience the Georgetown, Liberty Hill, and Austin areas. We have loved getting to explore and spend time in the greater Austin area together. Here are some of our favorite places in Georgetown! If you would like some more ideas for Austin, let Katie know and she will share a whole spreadsheet of options with you :)

El Monumento

205 West 2nd Street, Georgetown, TX 78626
, (512) 591-7866

If you're wanting some Tex-Mex while in Texas, we highly recommend this spot! Home to our favorite spicy margarita, a fantastic patio overlooking the San Gabriel River, and the best fajitas in Georgetown, it will not disappoint!

Tejano Cookers BBQ & Catering Co.

5750 Williams Drive, Georgetown, TX 78633

If you are needing to get some BBQ while in Texas and don't want to wait in hour upon hour lines in Austin, look no further than Tejano's! This food truck puts out some incredible barbecue with a Tex-Mex spin. We highly recommend the breakfast tacos (not available on Sunday, so plan accordingly), their sandwiches, and definitely get a side of charro beans.

Monument Cafe

500 South Austin Avenue, Georgetown, TX 78626
, (512) 930-9586

Monument Cafe is a great spot for breakfast and lunch and is one of our favorite places to stop on a weekend. Kyle's favorite is their corned beef hash, and Katie's go-to is the Kale Power juice and the breakfast quinoa bowl - but whatever you do, don't sleep on their biscuits and homemade jam!

309 Coffee

309 South Main Street, Georgetown, TX 78626
, (512) 931-4990

Katie's favorite coffee shop in Georgetown! Best lattes in town and they have some great allergy-friendly baked goods.

San Gabriel Park

445 East Morrow Street, Georgetown, TX 78626

A wonderful park with trails, playgrounds, and fields for sports. Great for kids and those of all ages!

US Army Corps of Engineers - Lake Georgetown

500 Lake Overlook Road, Georgetown, TX 78633

Lake Georgetown is a great place to swim, hike, and enjoy nature! Only a ten minute drive from the recommended hotel, it is a great place to be outside. There are several different entrances. If you're looking to swim, we recommend going to the Russell Park entrance. If you're looking to hike, we recommend the Cedar Breaks entrance. Or if you're looking to camp, we recommend the site at Jim Hogg. All entrance fees are $5 with no additional parking fee.

Blue Hole Park

100 Blue Hole Park Road, Georgetown, TX 78626

Another great place to swim or go for a walk, this location has no parking fees or entrance fees. Really pretty, and some waterfalls when the water is high. Conveniently located near downtown Georgetown (right near El Monumento if you're looking for a post-swim/post-walk happy hour).

2020 Market Scratch Kitchen & Bar

1500 Rivery Boulevard, Georgetown, TX 78628

Super close to the Sheraton Georgetown (where the hotel block is) this is a great option for any meal from brunch to late night drinks and everything in between. Katie is a big fan of their salmon salad and Kyle likes their burgers.

Union Merchant / Hase Hase

224 East 8th Street, Georgetown, TX 78626
, (512) 379-8379

This recommendation is a two-fer. Union Merchant is a super cute wine bar and attached to one of our favorite stores, Hase Hase. Enjoy a glass of wine, cocktail, or snack on their great patio, or in their indoor space, which is also part of the Hase Hase store.

Rentsch Brewery

2500 Northeast Inner Loop, Georgetown, TX 78626

A great brewery in Austin to have a drink!

Inner Space Cavern

4200 South Interstate 35 Frontage Road, Georgetown, TX 78626

Great family friendly activity where you can actually go an explore an inner cavern system. Super accessible just off of I-35.
