Matron of Honor
[she/her] Two unlikely souls crossed paths one fateful orientation at NCSU, and after a couple of traumatic games of Ultimate Werewolf, the friendship pact was sealed. These two ended up spending a bit of time in WISE (Women in Science and Engineering) and their meteorology programs together, and they quickly realized a shared a strong affinity for hiking and adventures. And oh, the stories they could tell! Get either of them started and be prepared for waves of both concern and laughter!
Best Man
[he/him] You'll never have a friend quite like your older brother. He is an all-around superman! From caring for his family while working a hectic job to keeping a marathon pace, sometimes quite literally, he's also the best man for good reason! Simon and Ethan played guitar together for family events when they were younger and still enjoy wowing a crowd grilling together! They attended NC State together, marathoning Sons of Anarchy with his roommates, and snuck in about three weddings soon after! Despite the years, life changes, quite a few moves later, and the miles between, they're always brothers!
Bridesmate
[he/him] Who would have thought a passing comment on shared Zelda merchandise would spark such a long-lasting friendship? They first crossed paths at a NCSU physics class, connecting instantly over their shared nerdy interests. From Saturday hangouts to teaching in different states, their paths remained grounded in their mutual passion for videogame soundtracks, some comic about college, and Nintendo nostalgia.
Groomsman
[he/him] It is amazing how coincidence can end in friendship. Andrew and Ethan unknowingly lived next to each other for their first year of college. Then, they kept on living with each other for the next three! They have formed a tight bond over shared loves of games, sports, DnD, craft beer and everything in between! Their time sharing a house during senior year led to nights of cooking, trips to Mitch’s, and a few colorful things to clear folks out when a party has gone on too long. A few beers, some mountain trips, annual Ren Faire visits and quite a few years later, the pair are still a dynamic duo!
Bridesmate
[they/them] They say DnD's central theme is found family, and it could easily be said the same for Finch and Alex. Meeting through Instagram of all places, the two collaborated on a few art pieces together and realized their Venn diagram of interests was nearly a perfect circle. Years later and no catfishing schemes foiled just yet, their friendship remains ever strong, bound by their brain rot and idea gremlins.
Groomsman
[he/him] One little meme started it all. A picture of a gorilla (RIP Harambe), in an NCSU Freshman Facebook group started it all! Andrew Eicher and Ethan lived together in Turlington and haven't missed a beat since! They lived together after college, along with the bride (SURPRISE! We're getting married now), and have enjoyed staying close, even while being apart, with weekly DnD sessions, tinkering/building ideas, and, of course, plenty of memes to keep the days rolling!
Bridesmaid
[she/her] Meet Caleigh! Caleigh and Alex's friendship blossomed through a unique connection with a mutual friend, but their friendship grew independently of that relationship. United by their love for conventions and games, Caleigh has not only shared interests with Alex, but has also been her reliable partner and travel companion for artist alleys numerous times. Her warmth and creativity brings a great energy wherever she goes!
Groomsman
[he/him] When you think of friends for life, you could be forgiven for not really knowing how that's quantified. Try being friends with someone, who shares your first name by the way, since elementary school! You would then be thinking about Ethan Briggs and Ethan Thompson. The Ethan's have been elementary schoolmates, Piedmont Band members, paintball partners, Future Sailors, and college roommates! They have decades of memories and they're ready for decades more. Wiggity - Wah!
