Our wedding is Black Tie, so we kindly ask guests to dress in formal evening wear. For gentlemen, this means a tuxedo or dark suit with a tie. For ladies, a floor-length gown or an elegant cocktail dress is appropriate. Keep in mind that mountain evenings can be chilly, so a stylish wrap or jacket is recommended.
Although we love your little ones, we have decided to make our wedding and all preceding wedding events adult-only occasions. We hope this advance notice allows time to arrange accommodations for your children so you can enjoy the celebrations with us! If you are looking for a babysitter in Vail we recommend Resort Sitters: www.resortsitters.com
September in Vail is absolutely beautiful! Expect crisp mountain air with daytime highs in the 60s-70s°F (16-24°C) and cooler evenings dropping into the 40s°F (4-9°C). Since mountain weather can change quickly, we recommend bringing layers to stay comfortable.
Vail sits at 8,150 feet above sea level, so you may feel the effects of altitude if you're not used to it. Here are a few tips to help you adjust: Stay hydrated – Drink plenty of water before and during your trip. Take it easy – Give yourself time to acclimate, especially if you're arriving the day before the wedding. Limit alcohol and caffeine – They can dehydrate you and amplify altitude effects. Pack sunscreen – The sun is stronger at higher elevations!
