We're Getting Married!

Robert and Thommye' met during the fall 2011 semester of their freshman year at Tennessee State University. They instantly become friends and began to Navigate college together, with their group of friends. Their friendship blossomed when they joined the TSU Student Athletic Training Program that spring. During the summer of 2012 they were both given the opportunity to travel to Costa Rica for a mission trip with the University! On this trip Robert and Thommye' friendship became even closer, when he saved her life during their white water rafting excursion! Their friendship continued to grow and they became best friends, until August of 2013, when someone, who Thommye' thinks it was Robert, sent an ASK FM message asking if we were more than friends! She shared the message with Him and he secretly wondered the same thing.... And as they say the rest is history, after 7 wonderful years of highs, lows, and everything in between, they have decided to take the next step and finally get Married!!!

On July 3rd, they celebrated Thommye’s, mother’s 60th birthday with a sweet soirée outside with all of our friends and family in attendance. Several of the important people in our lives were in attendance and Thommye’ thought this would have been the perfect time to pop the question. Well… it didn’t happen, and Thommye’ called her now Matron of Honor and told her how tonight would have been perfect! The next day we are celebrating the 4th of July, with a barbecue at Thommye’s Parent’s home! After dinner was finished, and the kitchen was cleaned the family decided to go outside to the deck for dessert! They brought the whole family outside for dessert and asked Robert and Thommye’ to serve, reluctant She started serving and was completely clueless that Robert was about to propose! Robert then grabbed her hand, said her whole name, got on one knee and Popped the Question!
